2 Kings 25:5 - But the Babylonian army chased King Zedekiah. They caught up with him in the plains near Jericho. All his soldiers were separated from him. They had scattered in every direction.
2 Kings 25:6 - The king was captured. He was taken to the king of Babylon at Riblah. That’s where Nebuchadnezzar decided how he would be punished.
2 Kings 25:7 - Nebuchadnezzar’s men killed the sons of Zedekiah. They forced him to watch it with his own eyes. Then they poked out his eyes. They put him in bronze chains. And they took him to Babylon.

Jeremiah 37:17 - Then King Zedekiah sent for him. King Zedekiah had Jeremiah brought to the palace. There the king spoke to him in private. The king asked, “Do you have a message from the Lord for me?” “Yes,” Jeremiah replied. “You will be handed over to the king of Babylon.”

Ezekiel 9:5 - I heard him speak to the six men. He said, “Follow him through the city. Do not show any pity or concern.
Ezekiel 9:6 - Kill the old men and women, the young men and women, and the children. But do not touch anyone who has the mark. Start at my temple.” So they began with the old men who were in front of the temple.

2 Chronicles 36:17 - The Lord brought the king of the Babylonians against them. The Babylonian army killed their young people with their swords at the temple. They didn’t spare young men or young women. They didn’t spare the old people or weak people either. God handed all of them over to Nebuchadnezzar.

Deuteronomy 28:50 - Its people will look mean. They won’t have any respect for old people. They won’t show any kindness to young people.
Jeremiah 52:8 - But the armies of Babylon chased King Zedekiah. They caught up with him in the plains near Jericho. All his soldiers were separated from him. They had scattered in every direction.
Jeremiah 52:9 - The king was captured. He was taken to the king of Babylon at Riblah. Riblah was in the land of Hamath. That’s where Nebuchadnezzar decided how Zedekiah would be punished.
Jeremiah 52:10 - At Riblah the king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah. He forced him to watch it with his own eyes. Nebuchadnezzar also killed all the officials of Judah.
Jeremiah 52:11 - Then he poked out Zedekiah’s eyes. He put him in bronze chains. And he took him to Babylon. There he put Zedekiah in prison until the day he died.
Ezekiel 17:20 - I will spread out my net to catch him. He will be caught in my trap. I will bring him to Babylon. I will judge him there because he was not faithful to me.
Ezekiel 17:21 - All Zedekiah’s best troops will be killed by swords. Those who are left alive will be scattered to the winds. Then you will know that I have spoken. I am the Lord.”
Ezekiel 7:9 - “ ‘I will not feel sorry for you. I will not spare you. I will pay you back for how you have lived. I will judge you for your evil practices. I hate them. You will know that I am the one who strikes you down. I am the Lord.

Habakkuk 1:6 - I am going to send the armies of Babylon to attack you. They are very mean. They move quickly. They sweep across the whole earth. They take over homes that do not belong to them.
Habakkuk 1:7 - They terrify others. They do not recognize any laws but their own. That is how proud they are.
Habakkuk 1:8 - Their horses are faster than leopards. They are meaner than wolves at sunset. Their horsemen charge straight into battle. They ride in from far away. They come down like an eagle diving for its food.
Habakkuk 1:9 - All of them are ready and willing to destroy others. Their huge armies advance like a wind out of the desert. They gather prisoners like sand.
Habakkuk 1:10 - They mock kings and make fun of rulers. They laugh at all the cities that have high walls around them. They build dirt ramps against the walls and capture the cities.
Jeremiah 37:17 - Then King Zedekiah sent for him. King Zedekiah had Jeremiah brought to the palace. There the king spoke to him in private. The king asked, “Do you have a message from the Lord for me?” “Yes,” Jeremiah replied. “You will be handed over to the king of Babylon.”
