  • Jeremiah 52:17 - The Babylonians broke up the bronze pillars in front of the Lord’s Temple, the bronze water carts, and the great bronze basin called the Sea, and they carried all the bronze away to Babylon.
  • Jeremiah 52:18 - They also took all the ash buckets, shovels, lamp snuffers, basins, dishes, and all the other bronze articles used for making sacrifices at the Temple.
  • Jeremiah 52:19 - The captain of the guard also took the small bowls, incense burners, basins, pots, lampstands, ladles, bowls used for liquid offerings, and all the other articles made of pure gold or silver.
  • Jeremiah 52:20 - The weight of the bronze from the two pillars, the Sea with the twelve bronze oxen beneath it, and the water carts was too great to be measured. These things had been made for the Lord’s Temple in the days of King Solomon.
  • Lamentations 1:10 - The enemy has plundered her completely, taking every precious thing she owns. She has seen foreigners violate her sacred Temple, the place the Lord had forbidden them to enter.
  • Ezekiel 16:39 - Then I will give you to these many nations who are your lovers, and they will destroy you. They will knock down your pagan shrines and the altars to your idols. They will strip you and take your beautiful jewels, leaving you stark naked.
  • Lamentations 5:17 - Our hearts are sick and weary, and our eyes grow dim with tears.
  • Lamentations 5:18 - For Jerusalem is empty and desolate, a place haunted by jackals.
  • Isaiah 39:4 - “What did they see in your palace?” asked Isaiah. “They saw everything,” Hezekiah replied. “I showed them everything I own—all my royal treasuries.”
  • Isaiah 39:5 - Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Listen to this message from the Lord of Heaven’s Armies:
  • Isaiah 39:6 - ‘The time is coming when everything in your palace—all the treasures stored up by your ancestors until now—will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left,’ says the Lord.
  • Jeremiah 26:18 - They said, “Remember when Micah of Moresheth prophesied during the reign of King Hezekiah of Judah. He told the people of Judah, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Mount Zion will be plowed like an open field; Jerusalem will be reduced to ruins! A thicket will grow on the heights where the Temple now stands.’
  • 2 Kings 24:13 - As the Lord had said beforehand, Nebuchadnezzar carried away all the treasures from the Lord’s Temple and the royal palace. He stripped away all the gold objects that King Solomon of Israel had placed in the Temple.
  • Jeremiah 15:13 - At no cost to them, I will hand over your wealth and treasures as plunder to your enemies, for sin runs rampant in your land.
