  • Jeremiah 9:3 - “My people bend their tongues like bows to shoot out lies. They refuse to stand up for the truth. They only go from bad to worse. They do not know me,” says the Lord.
  • Nehemiah 9:29 - “You warned them to return to your Law, but they became proud and obstinate and disobeyed your commands. They did not follow your regulations, by which people will find life if only they obey. They stubbornly turned their backs on you and refused to listen.
  • Nehemiah 9:30 - In your love, you were patient with them for many years. You sent your Spirit, who warned them through the prophets. But still they wouldn’t listen! So once again you allowed the peoples of the land to conquer them.
  • Zechariah 1:4 - Don’t be like your ancestors who would not listen or pay attention when the earlier prophets said to them, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Turn from your evil ways, and stop all your evil practices.’

  • Jeremiah 7:13 - While you were doing these wicked things, says the Lord, I spoke to you about it repeatedly, but you would not listen. I called out to you, but you refused to answer.
  • Revelation 22:15 - Outside the city are the dogs—the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie.
  • Zechariah 7:11 - “Your ancestors refused to listen to this message. They stubbornly turned away and put their fingers in their ears to keep from hearing.

  • Zephaniah 3:2 - No one can tell it anything; it refuses all correction. It does not trust in the Lord or draw near to its God.
  • Deuteronomy 31:27 - For I know how rebellious and stubborn you are. Even now, while I am still alive and am here with you, you have rebelled against the Lord. How much more rebellious will you be after my death!
  • Deuteronomy 31:28 - “Now summon all the elders and officials of your tribes, so that I can speak to them directly and call heaven and earth to witness against them.
  • Deuteronomy 31:29 - I know that after my death you will become utterly corrupt and will turn from the way I have commanded you to follow. In the days to come, disaster will come down on you, for you will do what is evil in the Lord’s sight, making him very angry with your actions.”
  • Acts of the Apostles 7:51 - “You stubborn people! You are heathen at heart and deaf to the truth. Must you forever resist the Holy Spirit? That’s what your ancestors did, and so do you!
  • 2 Chronicles 33:10 - The Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they ignored all his warnings.
  • Matthew 23:31 - “But in saying that, you testify against yourselves that you are indeed the descendants of those who murdered the prophets.

  • Isaiah 30:1 - “What sorrow awaits my rebellious children,” says the Lord. “You make plans that are contrary to mine. You make alliances not directed by my Spirit, thus piling up your sins.
