Ezekiel 20:30 - The Lord said to me, “Speak to the Israelites. Tell them, ‘Here is what the Lord and King says. “Are you going to make yourselves ‘unclean’ the way your people of long ago did? Are you also going to want to worship the statues of their evil gods?
Proverbs 14:31 - Anyone who crushes poor people makes fun of their Maker. But anyone who is kind to those in need honors God.
Ezekiel 33:15 - They return things they take to make sure loans are repaid. They give back what they have stolen. They obey my rules that give life. They do not do what is evil. Then you can be sure they will live. They will not die.
Ezekiel 33:16 - None of the sins they have committed will be held against them. They have done what is fair and right. So you can be sure they will live.
Ezekiel 18:19 - “But you still ask, ‘Is the son guilty along with his father?’ No! The son did what was fair and right. He was careful to obey all my rules. So you can be sure he will live.
Ezekiel 18:20 - A person will die because of their own sins. A child will not be guilty because of what their parent did. And a parent will not be guilty because of what their child did. The right things a godly person does will be added to their account. The wrong things a sinful person does will be charged against them.
Ezekiel 18:21 - “But suppose a sinful person turns away from all the sins they have committed. And they obey all my rules. They do what is fair and right. Then you can be sure they will live. They will not die.
Jeremiah 16:19 - Lord, you give me strength. You are like a fort to me. When I’m in trouble, I go to you for safety. The nations will come to you from one end of the earth to the other. They will gather together and say, “Our people of long ago didn’t own anything except statues of gods. The statues were worthless. They didn’t do them any good.
Job 29:16 - I was like a father to needy people. I stood up for strangers in court.
Ezekiel 18:13 - He charges interest when he lends money to poor people. He makes money from them. Will a man like that live? He will not! He must be put to death. And what happens to him will be his own fault. He did many things I hate.
Malachi 3:7 - You have turned away from my rules. You have not obeyed them. You have lived that way ever since the days of your people of long ago. Return to me. Then I will return to you,” says the Lord who rules over all. “But you ask, ‘How can we return?’
Leviticus 18:26 - But you must keep my rules and my laws. You must not do any of the things I hate. It does not matter whether you are Israelites or outsiders.
Ezekiel 33:13 - Suppose I tell a godly person that they will live. And they trust in the fact that they used to do what is right. But now they do what is evil. Then I will not remember any of the right things they have done. They will die because they have done so many evil things.

Luke 19:8 - But Zacchaeus stood up. He said, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of what I own to those who are poor. And if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay it back. I will pay back four times the amount I took.”
Jeremiah 16:11 - When they say this, here is what you should tell them. ‘I did it because your people of long ago deserted me,’ announces the Lord. ‘They followed other gods. They served them and worshiped them. They deserted me. They did not obey my law.
Jeremiah 16:12 - But you have done more evil things than they did. All of you are doing what your stubborn and evil hearts want you to do. You are not obeying me.
Jeremiah 16:13 - So I will throw you out of this land. I will send you away to another land. Neither you nor your people of long ago have known about it. There you will serve other gods day and night. And I will not give you any help.’
Daniel 4:27 - So, Your Majesty, I hope you will accept my advice. Stop being sinful. Do what is right. Give up your evil practices. Show kindness to those who are being treated badly. Then perhaps things will continue to go well with you.”
Jeremiah 22:16 - He stood up for those who were poor or needy. So everything went well with him. That is what it means to know me,” announces the Lord.
Proverbs 29:7 - Those who do what is right want to treat poor people fairly. But those who do what is wrong don’t care about the poor.
Ezekiel 20:18 - I spoke to their children there. I said, ‘Do not follow the rules your parents gave you. Do not obey their laws. Do not make yourselves “unclean” by worshiping their gods.

Matthew 18:27 - His master felt sorry for him. He forgave him what he owed and let him go.
Matthew 18:28 - “But then that servant went out and found one of the other servants who owed him 100 silver coins. He grabbed him and began to choke him. ‘Pay back what you owe me!’ he said.
Matthew 18:29 - “The other servant fell on his knees. ‘Give me time,’ he begged him. ‘I’ll pay it back.’
Matthew 18:30 - “But the first servant refused. Instead, he went and had the man thrown into prison. The man would be held there until he could pay back what he owed.
Matthew 18:31 - The other servants saw what had happened and were very angry. They went and told their master everything that had happened.
Matthew 18:32 - “Then the master called the first servant in. ‘You evil servant,’ he said. ‘I forgave all that you owed me because you begged me to.
Matthew 18:33 - Shouldn’t you have had mercy on the other servant just as I had mercy on you?’
Matthew 18:34 - In anger his master handed him over to the jailers. He would be punished until he paid back everything he owed.
Matthew 18:35 - “This is how my Father in heaven will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”
Matthew 23:29 - “How terrible for you, teachers of the law and Pharisees! You pretenders! You build tombs for the prophets. You decorate the graves of the godly.
Matthew 23:30 - And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of those who lived before us, we wouldn’t have done what they did. We wouldn’t have helped to kill the prophets.’
Matthew 23:31 - So you are witnesses against yourselves. You admit that you are the children of those who murdered the prophets.
Matthew 23:32 - So go ahead and finish the sins that those who lived before you started!
Matthew 23:33 - “You nest of poisonous snakes! How will you escape from being sentenced to hell?
Proverbs 29:14 - If a king judges poor people fairly, his throne will always be secure.
Ezekiel 18:8 - He does not charge interest when he lends money to them. He does not make money from them. He keeps himself from doing what is wrong. He judges cases fairly.
Ezekiel 18:9 - He obeys my rules. He is faithful in keeping my laws. He always does what is right. You can be sure he will live,” announces the Lord and King.
