  • Exodus 3:1 - Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
  • Exodus 3:2 - Then the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire within a bush. As Moses looked, he saw that the bush was on fire but was not consumed.
  • Exodus 3:3 - So Moses thought, “I must go over and look at this remarkable sight. Why isn’t the bush burning up?”
  • Exodus 3:4 - When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called out to him from the bush, “Moses, Moses!” “Here I am,” he answered.
  • Exodus 3:5 - “Do not come closer,” he said. “Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”
  • Exodus 16:10 - As Aaron was speaking to the entire Israelite community, they turned toward the wilderness, and there in a cloud the Lord’s glory appeared.
  • Psalms 46:4 - There is a river — its streams delight the city of God, the holy dwelling place of the Most High.
  • John 4:14 - But whoever drinks from the water that I will give him will never get thirsty again. In fact, the water I will give him will become a well of water springing up in him for eternal life.”
  • Psalms 78:20 - Look! He struck the rock and water gushed out; torrents overflowed. But can he also provide bread or furnish meat for his people?”
  • Isaiah 48:21 - They did not thirst when he led them through the deserts; he made water flow from the rock for them; he split the rock, and water gushed out.
  • John 4:10 - Jesus answered, “If you knew the gift of God, and who is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would ask him, and he would give you living water.”
  • Psalms 78:15 - He split rocks in the wilderness and gave them drink as abundant as the depths.
  • Psalms 78:16 - He brought streams out of the stone and made water flow down like rivers.
  • John 7:37 - On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.
  • John 7:38 - The one who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him.”
  • Deuteronomy 8:15 - He led you through the great and terrible wilderness with its poisonous snakes and scorpions, a thirsty land where there was no water. He brought water out of the flint rock for you.
  • Revelation 22:17 - Both the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” Let anyone who hears, say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come. Let the one who desires take the water of life freely.
  • Psalms 114:8 - who turned the rock into a pool, the flint into a spring.
  • Nehemiah 9:15 - You provided bread from heaven for their hunger; you brought them water from the rock for their thirst. You told them to go in and possess the land you had sworn to give them.
  • Psalms 105:41 - He opened a rock, and water gushed out; it flowed like a stream in the desert.
  • Numbers 20:9 - So Moses took the staff from the Lord’s presence just as he had commanded him.
  • Numbers 20:10 - Moses and Aaron summoned the assembly in front of the rock, and Moses said to them, “Listen, you rebels! Must we bring water out of this rock for you?”
  • Numbers 20:11 - Then Moses raised his hand and struck the rock twice with his staff, so that abundant water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.
  • 1 Corinthians 10:4 - and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ.
