  • Titus 3:8 - This is a faithful and trustworthy saying; and concerning these things I want you to speak with great confidence, so that those who have believed God [that is, those who have trusted in, relied on, and accepted Christ Jesus as Savior,] will be careful to participate in doing good and honorable things. These things are excellent [in themselves] and profitable for the people.
  • Ephesians 4:22 - that, regarding your previous way of life, you put off your old self [completely discard your former nature], which is being corrupted through deceitful desires,
  • Ephesians 4:23 - and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh, untarnished mental and spiritual attitude],
  • Ephesians 4:24 - and put on the new self [the regenerated and renewed nature], created in God’s image, [godlike] in the righteousness and holiness of the truth [living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation].
