“ I have heard the insults of Moab and the taunts of the Ammonites, who insulted my people and made threats against their land.

以色列的上帝——万军之耶和华说：“我听见了摩押人的毁谤和亚扪人的辱骂。他们毁谤我的子民，扬言侵占他们的土地。我凭自己的永恒起誓，摩押和亚扪必刺草丛生、盐坑遍地、永远荒废，如所多玛和蛾摩拉一样。我余下的子民必掳掠他们，我幸存的百姓必承受他们的土地。”

我听见了摩押人的辱骂之言，听见了亚扪人的毁谤之语，他们辱骂我的子民，又自夸自大侵犯他们的境界。

我聽見摩押人的毀謗和亞捫人的辱罵，就是毀謗我的百姓，自誇自大，侵犯他們的境界。

我聽見摩押毀謗，亞捫人辱罵；他們辱罵我的百姓，自誇自大，侵犯他們的疆土。」

我聽見摩押的嘲罵，和亞捫人的毁謗；他們怎樣嘲罵我的人民，自誇自大以侵犯他們的境界。

摩押之毀謗、亞捫人之詬辱、我聞之矣、彼詆我民、自大而侵其境、

摩押、亞捫、自高其心、凌辱我民、侵其接壤之所、我聞之矣、

摩押人、亞捫人、毀謗譏誚我民、或作摩押人毀謗我民亞捫人譏誚我民彼毀謗我民、自高自大、侵犯我民之境、我聞之矣、

The Lord says,“ I have heard Moab make fun of my people. The Ammonites also laughed at them. They told them that bad things would happen to their land.

“ I have heard the taunts of Moab and the revilings of the Ammonites, how they have taunted my people and made boasts against their territory.

“ I have heard the taunts of the Moabites and the insults of the Ammonites, mocking my people and invading their borders.

I have heard the taunting of Moab and the insults of the Ammonites, who have taunted my people and threatened their territory.

“ I have heard the taunting of Moab And the abusive speech of the sons of Ammon, With which they have taunted My people And boasted against their territory.

“ I have heard the reproach of Moab, And the insults of the people of Ammon, With which they have reproached My people, And made arrogant threats against their borders.

I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, wherewith they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border.

I have heard the taunting of Moab and the insults of the Ammonites, who have taunted My people and threatened their territory.

I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, whereby they have reproached my people, and magnified[ themselves] against their border.

“ I have heard Moab’s taunts and the Ammonites’ insults. They taunted my people and verbally harassed those living in Judah.

I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the insults of the children of Ammon, with which they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border.

This is what the Lord says:“ For three sins of Ammon, even for four, I will not relent. Because he ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead in order to extend his borders,

Concerning the Ammonites: This is what the Lord says:“ Has Israel no sons? Has Israel no heir? Why then has Molek taken possession of Gad? Why do his people live in its towns?

Was not Israel the object of your ridicule? Was she caught among thieves, that you shake your head in scorn whenever you speak of her?Abandon your towns and dwell among the rocks, you who live in Moab. Be like a dove that makes its nest at the mouth of a cave.“ We have heard of Moab’s pride— how great is her arrogance!— of her insolence, her pride, her conceit and the haughtiness of her heart.

“ Come,” they say,“ let us destroy them as a nation, so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you—the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites,Byblos, Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre.

Say to them,‘ Hear the word of the Sovereign Lord. This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you said“ Aha!” over my sanctuary when it was desecrated and over the land of Israel when it was laid waste and over the people of Judah when they went into exile,therefore I am going to give you to the people of the East as a possession. They will set up their camps and pitch their tents among you; they will eat your fruit and drink your milk.I will turn Rabbah into a pasture for camels and Ammon into a resting place for sheep. Then you will know that I am the Lord.For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you have clapped your hands and stamped your feet, rejoicing with all the malice of your heart against the land of Israel,therefore I will stretch out my hand against you and give you as plunder to the nations. I will wipe you out from among the nations and exterminate you from the countries. I will destroy you, and you will know that I am the Lord.’”“ This is what the Sovereign Lord says:‘ Because Moab and Seir said,“ Look, Judah has become like all the other nations,”therefore I will expose the flank of Moab, beginning at its frontier towns— Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon and Kiriathaim— the glory of that land.I will give Moab along with the Ammonites to the people of the East as a possession, so that the Ammonites will not be remembered among the nations;and I will inflict punishment on Moab. Then they will know that I am the Lord.’”

This is what the Sovereign Lord says: The enemy said of you,“ Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession.”’
