我耶和華不悅斯民、忿怒震烈、必降以災、

惟爾不知羞不知羞或作不見悅之民、當聚集自察、

So Judah gathered together to seek help from the Lord; they even came from all the cities of Judah to seek the Lord.

Consecrate a fast, Proclaim a solemn assembly; Gather the elders And all the inhabitants of the land To the house of the Lord your God, And cry out to the Lord.

And all the people gathered as one person at the public square which was in front of the Water Gate, and they asked Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses which the Lord had given to Israel.

“ Go, gather all the Jews who are found in Susa, and fast for me; do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants also will fast in the same way. And then I will go in to the king, which is not in accordance with the law; and if I perish, I perish.”

Have the groom come out of his room And the bride out of her bridal chamber.Let the priests, the Lord’s ministers, Weep between the porch and the altar, And let them say,“ Spare Your people, Lord, And do not make Your inheritance a disgrace, With the nations jeering at them. Why should those among the peoples say,‘ Where is their God?’ ”Then the Lord will be zealous for His land, And will have compassion for His people.

Hear the word of the Lord, You rulers of Sodom; Listen to the instruction of our God, You people of Gomorrah!“ What are your many sacrifices to Me?” Says the Lord.“ I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fattened cattle; And I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls, lambs, or goats.When you come to appear before Me, Who requires of you this trampling of My courtyards?Do not go on bringing your worthless offerings, Incense is an abomination to Me. New moon and Sabbath, the proclamation of an assembly— I cannot endure wrongdoing and the festive assembly.I hate your new moon festivals and your appointed feasts, They have become a burden to Me; I am tired of bearing them.So when you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you offer many prayers, I will not be listening. Your hands are covered with blood.

“ I have forsaken My house, I have abandoned My inheritance; I have handed the beloved of My soul Over to her enemies.My inheritance has become to Me Like a lion in the forest; She has roared against Me; Therefore I have come to hate her.Is My inheritance like a speckled bird of prey to Me? Are the birds of prey against her on every side? Go, gather all the animals of the field, Bring them to devour!

Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, Lord, We have waited for You eagerly; Your name, and remembering You, is the desire of our souls.At night my soul longs for You, Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently; For when the earth experiences Your judgments, The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

Oh, sinful nation, People weighed down with guilt, Offspring of evildoers, Sons who act corruptly! They have abandoned the Lord, They have despised the Holy One of Israel, They have turned away from Him.Where will you be stricken again, As you continue in your rebellion? The entire head is sick And the entire heart is faint.From the sole of the foot even to the head There is nothing healthy in it, Only bruises, slashes, and raw wounds; Not pressed out nor bandaged, Nor softened with oil.
