耶和华说：“我必从地上除灭万类。

耶和華曰、我必盡滅萬類於地、

我於斯土、必使百物殄絶、

曰、我於斯地、必除滅萬類、

“ I will sweep away everything from the face of the earth,” declares the Lord.

I will utterly consume all things from off the face of the ground, saith Jehovah.

I will completely sweep away everything from the face of the earth— this is the Lord’s declaration.

I will utterly consume all[ things] from off the land, saith the LORD.

“ I will destroy everything from the face of the earth,” says the LORD.

I will utterly sweep away everything from the surface of the earth, says Yahweh.

‘ This is what the Lord says: I am going to bring disaster on this place and its people, according to everything written in the book the king of Judah has read.Because they have forsaken me and burned incense to other gods and aroused my anger by all the idols their hands have made, my anger will burn against this place and will not be quenched.’ (niv)

The earth will become desolate because of its inhabitants, as the result of their deeds. (niv)

“ Say this to them:‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: As surely as I live, those who are left in the ruins will fall by the sword, those out in the country I will give to the wild animals to be devoured, and those in strongholds and caves will die of a plague.I will make the land a desolate waste, and her proud strength will come to an end, and the mountains of Israel will become desolate so that no one will cross them.Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I have made the land a desolate waste because of all the detestable things they have done.’ (niv)

The land enjoyed its sabbath rests; all the time of its desolation it rested, until the seventy years were completed in fulfillment of the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah. (niv)

“‘ But like the bad figs, which are so bad they cannot be eaten,’ says the Lord,‘ so will I deal with Zedekiah king of Judah, his officials and the survivors from Jerusalem, whether they remain in this land or live in Egypt.I will make them abhorrent and an offense to all the kingdoms of the earth, a reproach and a byword, a curse and an object of ridicule, wherever I banish them.I will send the sword, famine and plague against them until they are destroyed from the land I gave to them and their ancestors.’” (niv)

I am going to give the order, declares the Lord, and I will bring them back to this city. They will fight against it, take it and burn it down. And I will lay waste the towns of Judah so no one can live there.” (niv)

So the Lord said,“ I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created— and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground— for I regret that I have made them.” (niv)

Take warning, Jerusalem, or I will turn away from you and make your land desolate so no one can live in it.”This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ Let them glean the remnant of Israel as thoroughly as a vine; pass your hand over the branches again, like one gathering grapes.” (niv)

Then I said,“ For how long, Lord?” And he answered:“ Until the cities lie ruined and without inhabitant, until the houses are left deserted and the fields ruined and ravaged, (niv)

Also tell Jehoiakim king of Judah,‘ This is what the Lord says: You burned that scroll and said,“ Why did you write on it that the king of Babylon would certainly come and destroy this land and wipe from it both man and beast?” (niv)
