“ And there shall be on that day,” says the Lord,“ The sound of a mournful cry from the Fish Gate, A wailing from the Second Quarter, And a loud crashing from the hills.

耶和华说：“当那日，从鱼门必发出悲哀的声音，从二城发出哀号的声音，从山间发出大破裂的响声。

耶和华说：“到那日，必有呼叫的声音从鱼门发出来，必有哀号从新区发出来，必有崩裂巨响从山间发出来。

耶和華說：當那日，從魚門必發出悲哀的聲音，從二城發出哀號的聲音，從山間發出大破裂的響聲。

永恆主發神諭說：『當那日必有哀叫的聲音從魚門發出，必有哀號聲從第二區出來，有極大的破毁聲從眾山丘傳開。

耶和華曰、是日必有哀哭之聲、出自魚門、號咷之聲、出自二區、傾圮之聲、出自邱陵、

耶和華曰、當是日、自魚門至米士尼、延及邱陵、殺戮人民、號呼之聲、遐邇咸聞、

主曰、當是日自魚門必聞號咷之聲、自二二或作內城必聞哀哭之聲、自山間必聞大悲慟之聲、

“ On that day,” declares the Lord,“ a cry will go up from the Fish Gate, wailing from the New Quarter, and a loud crash from the hills.

“ At that time people at the Fish Gate in Jerusalem will cry out,” announces the Lord.“ So will those at the New Quarter. The buildings on the hills will come crashing down with a loud noise.

“ On that day,” declares the Lord,“ a cry will be heard from the Fish Gate, a wail from the Second Quarter, a loud crash from the hills.

“ On that day,” says the Lord,“ a cry of alarm will come from the Fish Gate and echo throughout the New Quarter of the city. And a great crash will sound from the hills.

On that day— this is the LORD’s declaration— there will be an outcry from the Fish Gate, a wailing from the Second District, and a loud crashing from the hills.

And on that day,” declares the Lord,“ There will be the sound of a cry from the Fish Gate, Wailing from the Second Quarter, And a loud crash from the hills.

And in that day, saith Jehovah, there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and a wailing from the second quarter, and a great crashing from the hills.

On that day— this is the Lord’s declaration— there will be an outcry from the Fish Gate, a wailing from the Second District, and a loud crashing from the hills.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD,[ that there shall be] the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills.

On that day,” says the LORD,“ a loud cry will go up from the Fish Gate, wailing from the city’s newer district, and a loud crash from the hills.

In that day, says Yahweh, there will be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, a wailing from the second quarter, and a great crashing from the hills.

After this he built a wall outside the City of David on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, as far as the entrance of the Fish Gate; and it enclosed Ophel, and he raised it to a very great height. Then he put military captains in all the fortified cities of Judah.

So Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam, Achbor, Shaphan, and Asaiah went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe.( She dwelt in Jerusalem in the Second Quarter.) And they spoke with her.

And the songs of the temple Shall be wailing in that day,” Says the Lord GOD—“ Many dead bodies everywhere, They shall be thrown out in silence.”

Therefore I said,“ Look away from me, I will weep bitterly; Do not labor to comfort me Because of the plundering of the daughter of my people.”For it is a day of trouble and treading down and perplexity By the Lord GOD of hosts In the Valley of Vision— Breaking down the walls And of crying to the mountain.

Also the sons of Hassenaah built the Fish Gate; they laid its beams and hung its doors with its bolts and bars.

O my soul, my soul! I am pained in my very heart! My heart makes a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, Because you have heard, O my soul, The sound of the trumpet, The alarm of war.Destruction upon destruction is cried, For the whole land is plundered. Suddenly my tents are plundered, And my curtains in a moment.How long will I see the standard, And hear the sound of the trumpet?

Then David dwelt in the stronghold, and called it the City of David. And David built all around from the Millo and inward.

Now Solomon began to build the house of the Lord at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the Lord had appeared to his father David, at the place that David had prepared on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion( that is, the City of David).

Be silent in the presence of the Lord GOD; For the day of the Lord is at hand, For the Lord has prepared a sacrifice; He has invited His guests.

“ For I have heard a voice as of a woman in labor, The anguish as of her who brings forth her first child, The voice of the daughter of Zion bewailing herself; She spreads her hands, saying,‘ Woe is me now, for my soul is weary Because of murderers!’

We all growl like bears, And moan sadly like doves; We look for justice, but there is none; For salvation, but it is far from us.

Thus the Lord saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all others, and guided them on every side.

In the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month, the city was penetrated.
