Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

“ City of Zion, be full of joy! People of Jerusalem, shout! See, your king comes to you. He always does what is right. He has won the victory. He is humble and riding on a donkey. He is sitting on a donkey’s colt.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey— riding on a donkey’s colt.

Shout for joy, daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, Israel! Rejoice and triumph with all your heart, Daughter of Jerusalem!The Lord has taken away His judgments against you, He has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; You will no longer fear disaster.

Now this took place so that what was spoken through the prophet would be fulfilled:“ Say to the daughter of Zion,‘ Behold your King is coming to you, Humble, and mounted on a donkey, Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’ ”The disciples went and did just as Jesus had instructed them,and brought the donkey and the colt, and laid their cloaks on them; and He sat on the cloaks.

“ Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord,“ When I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; And He will reign as king and act wisely And do justice and righteousness in the land.In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will live securely; And this is His name by which He will be called,‘ The Lord Our Righteousness.’

Shout for joy and rejoice, daughter of Zion; for behold I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,” declares the Lord.

they took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began shouting,“ Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, indeed, the King of Israel!”Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written:“ Do not fear, daughter of Zion; behold, your King is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.”These things His disciples did not understand at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things for Him.

For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of armies will accomplish this.

I, only I, am the Lord, And there is no savior besides Me.

Go up on a high mountain, Zion, messenger of good news, Raise your voice forcefully, Jerusalem, messenger of good news; Raise it up, do not fear. Say to the cities of Judah,“ Here is your God!”

For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you.

Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth: Say to the daughter of Zion,“ Behold, your salvation is coming; Behold His reward is with Him, and His compensation before Him.”

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

And as soon as He was approaching, near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen,shouting:“ Blessed is the King, the One who comes in the name of the Lord; Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

“ But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”

Your throne, God, is forever and ever; The scepter of Your kingdom is a scepter of justice.You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of joy above Your companions.

Rejoice and shout for joy, you inhabitant of Zion, For great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.

My heart is moved with a good theme; I address my verses to the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

And those who went in front and those who followed were shouting:“ Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord;Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David; Hosanna in the highest!”

Declare and present your case; Indeed, let them consult together. Who has announced this long ago? Who has long since declared it? Is it not I, the Lord? And there is no other God besides Me, A righteous God and a Savior; There is none except Me.

They* brought the colt to Jesus and* put their cloaks on it; and He sat on it.

Behold, a king will reign righteously, And officials will rule justly.Each will be like a refuge from the wind And a shelter from the storm, Like streams of water in a dry country, Like the shade of a huge rock in an exhausted land.

The heavens declare His righteousness, And all the peoples have seen His glory.May all those be ashamed who serve carved images, Who boast in idols; Worship Him, all you gods.Zion heard this and was joyful, And the daughters of Judah have rejoiced Because of Your judgments, Lord.

Certainly His salvation is near to those who fear Him, That glory may dwell in our land.Graciousness and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.Truth sprouts from the earth, And righteousness looks down from heaven.Indeed, the Lord will give what is good, And our land will yield its produce.

saying,“ Go into the village ahead of you; there, as you enter, you will find a colt tied, on which no one yet has ever sat; untie it and bring it here.And if anyone asks you,‘ Why are you untying it?’ you shall say this:‘ The Lord has need of it.’ ”So those who were sent left and found it just as He had told them.And as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them,“ Why are you untying the colt?”They said,“ The Lord has need of it.”And they brought it to Jesus, and they threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it.

But they shall serve the Lord their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.

Be cheerful, shout joyfully together, You ruins of Jerusalem; For the Lord has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem.The Lord has bared His holy arm In the sight of all the nations, So that all the ends of the earth may see The salvation of our God.

The Lord says to my Lord:“ Sit at My right hand Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”The Lord will stretch out Your strong scepter from Zion, saying,“ Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”Your people will volunteer freely on the day of Your power; In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew.The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind,“ You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”

She will give birth to a Son; and you shall name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Nathanael answered Him,“ Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel!”

being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus,whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in God’s merciful restraint He let the sins previously committed go unpunished;for the demonstration, that is, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

So they shouted,“ Away with Him, away with Him, crucify Him!” Pilate* said to them,“ Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered,“ We have no king except Caesar.”
