Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

“ City of Zion, be full of joy! People of Jerusalem, shout! See, your king comes to you. He always does what is right. He has won the victory. He is humble and riding on a donkey. He is sitting on a donkey’s colt.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey— riding on a donkey’s colt.

All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set[ him] thereon.

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this[ is] his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.

Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed[ is] the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt.These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and[ that] they had done these things unto him.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.Of the increase of[ his] government and peace[ there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

I,[ even] I,[ am] the LORD; and beside me[ there is] no saviour.

O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift[ it] up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

For I[ am] the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt[ for] thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward[ is] with him, and his work before him.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;Saying, Blessed[ be] the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

Thy throne, O God,[ is] for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom[ is] a right sceptre.Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great[ is] the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue[ is] the pen of a ready writer.

And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed[ is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord:Blessed[ be] the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.

Tell ye, and bring[ them] near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time?[ who] hath told it from that time?[ have] not I the LORD? and[ there is] no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour;[ there is] none beside me.

And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.

Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all[ ye] gods.Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.

Surely his salvation[ is] nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed[ each other].Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.Yea, the LORD shall give[ that which is] good; and our land shall yield her increase.

Saying, Go ye into the village over against[ you]; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring[ him hither].And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose[ him]? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?And they said, The Lord hath need of him.And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.

But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.Thy people[ shall be] willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou[ art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:Whom God hath set forth[ to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;To declare,[ I say], at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

But they cried out, Away with[ him], away with[ him], crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.
