所以，我要拯救我的羣羊，牠們必不再作掠物；我也要在羊和羊中間施行審判。我必在他們之上立一牧人，就是我的僕人大衛，牧養牠們；他必牧養他們，作他們的牧人。我－耶和華必作他們的上帝，我的僕人大衛要在他們中間作王。這是我－耶和華說的。「我要與他們立平安的約，使惡獸從境內斷絕；他們在曠野也能安然居住，在樹林也能躺臥。我要使他們和我山岡的四圍蒙福；我也必叫時雨落下，使福如甘霖降下。

到那日，耶西的根立作萬民的大旗；列國的人必尋求他，他安歇之所大有榮耀。當那日，主必再度伸手救回自己百姓中所剩餘的，就是在亞述、埃及、巴特羅、古實、以攔、示拿、哈馬，並眾海島所剩下的。他要向列國豎立大旗，召集以色列被趕散的人，又從地極四方聚集分散的猶大人。

萬軍之耶和華如此說：在那些日子，列國中說各種語言的人，必有十個人強拉住一個猶大人衣服的邊，說：『我們要與你們同去，因為我們聽見上帝與你們同在了。』」

列國要來就你的光，列王要來就你發出的光輝。

你們這小羣，不要懼怕，因為你們的父樂意把國賜給你們。

我的羊聽我的聲音，我認識牠們，牠們也跟從我。

他必倚靠耶和華的大能，倚靠耶和華－他上帝之名的威嚴，站立並牧養，使他們安然居住；因為現在他必尊大，直到地極。

壓制你的，他的子孫必來向你屈身；藐視你的，都要在你腳前下拜。人要稱你為「耶和華的城」，為「以色列聖者的錫安」。

求你在迦密的樹林中，以你的杖牧放你獨居的民，你產業中的羊羣；願他們像古時一樣，牧放在巴珊和基列。

務要牧養在你們當中上帝的羣羊，按着上帝的旨意照顧他們，不是出於勉強，而是出於甘心；也不是因為貪財，而是出於樂意。不要轄制所託付你們的羣羊，而是要作他們的榜樣。到了大牧人顯現的時候，你們必得到那永不衰殘、榮耀的冠冕。

因為耶和華救贖了雅各，救贖他脫離比他更強之人的手。
