“万军之耶和华说，‘从前你们的祖先惹我发怒，我决定毫不留情地降祸给他们。这是万军之耶和华说的。

“万军之耶和华这样说：‘你们的列祖惹我发怒的时候，我曾定意降祸在你们身上，并没有改变心意（这是万军之耶和华说的）；

萬軍之耶和華如此說：「你們列祖惹我發怒的時候，我怎樣定意降禍，並不後悔。

萬軍之耶和華云、爾列祖激我怒時、我擬降災、而不回意、

萬有之主耶和華曰、昔爾列祖、干我震怒、我降以罰、意已決、志不回。

萬有之主如是云、昔爾列祖、干犯我怒、我決意降罰不悔、

This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ Just as I had determined to bring disaster on you and showed no pity when your ancestors angered me,” says the Lord Almighty,

The Lord who rules over all says,“ Your people of long ago made me angry. So I decided to bring trouble on them. I did not show them any pity.

For thus says the Lord of hosts:“ As I purposed to bring disaster to you when your fathers provoked me to wrath, and I did not relent, says the Lord of hosts,

“ For this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: I was determined to punish you when your ancestors angered me, and I did not change my mind, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

For the LORD of Armies says this:“ As I resolved to treat you badly when your ancestors provoked me to anger, and I did not relent,” says the LORD of Armies,

“ For this is what the Lord of armies says:‘ Just as I determined to do harm to you when your fathers provoked Me to anger,’ says the Lord of armies,‘ and I have not relented,

“ For thus says the Lord of hosts:‘ Just as I determined to punish you When your fathers provoked Me to wrath,’ Says the Lord of hosts,‘ And I would not relent,

For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: As I thought to do evil unto you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith Jehovah of hosts, and I repented not;

For the Lord of Hosts says this:“ As I resolved to treat you badly when your fathers provoked Me to anger, and I did not relent,” says the Lord of Hosts,

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not:

For Yahweh of Armies says:“ As I thought to do evil to you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath,” says Yahweh of Armies,“ and I didn’t repent;

In the past I saw to it that they were uprooted and torn down, that they were destroyed and demolished. But now I will see to it that they are built up and firmly planted. I, the LORD, affirm it!”

“‘ I the LORD have spoken; judgment is coming and I will act! I will not relent, or show pity, or be sorry! I will judge you according to your conduct and your deeds, declares the sovereign LORD.’”

Because of this the land will mourn and the sky above will grow black. For I have made my purpose known and I will not relent or turn back from carrying it out.”

Then the LORD said to me,“ Even if Moses and Samuel stood before me pleading for these people, I would not feel pity for them! Get them away from me! Tell them to go away!If they ask you,‘ Where should we go?’ tell them the LORD says this:“ Those who are destined to die of disease will go to death by disease. Those who are destined to die in war will go to death in war. Those who are destined to die of starvation will go to death by starvation. Those who are destined to go into exile will go into exile.”“ I will punish them in four different ways: I will have war kill them. I will have dogs drag off their dead bodies. I will have birds and wild beasts devour and destroy their corpses.I will make all the people in all the kingdoms of the world horrified at what has happened to them because of what Hezekiah’s son Manasseh, king of Judah, did in Jerusalem.”The LORD cried out,“ Who in the world will have pity on you, Jerusalem? Who will grieve over you? Who will stop long enough to inquire about how you are doing?I, the LORD, say:‘ You people have deserted me! You keep turning your back on me.’ So I have unleashed my power against you and have begun to destroy you. I have grown tired of feeling sorry for you!”

The LORD’s decisions stand forever; his plans abide throughout the ages.

May that man be like the cities that the LORD destroyed without showing any mercy. May he hear a cry of distress in the morning and a battle cry at noon.

But have my words and statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, not outlived your fathers? Then they paid attention and confessed,‘ The LORD who rules over all has indeed done what he said he would do to us, because of our sinful ways.’”

But they mocked God’s messengers, despised his warnings, and ridiculed his prophets. Finally the LORD got very angry at his people and there was no one who could prevent his judgment.

The LORD who commands armies makes this solemn vow:“ Be sure of this: Just as I have intended, so it will be; just as I have planned, it will happen.
