And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat[ for yourselves], and drink[ for yourselves]?

And when you were eating and drinking, were you not just feasting for yourselves?

And when you were eating and drinking, weren’t you just enjoying good food for yourselves?

And when you eat and when you drink, do you not eat for yourselves and drink for yourselves?

And even now in your holy festivals, aren’t you eating and drinking just to please yourselves?

When ye come together therefore into one place,[ this] is not to eat the Lord’s supper.For in eating every one taketh before[ other] his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.

They sacrifice flesh[ for] the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat[ it; but] the LORD accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed,[ do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

They shall not offer wine[ offerings] to the LORD, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices[ shall be] unto them as the bread of mourners; all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the LORD.

But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for[ the LORD seeth] not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink[ this] cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of[ that] bread, and drink of[ that] cup.For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,

The heart[ is] deceitful above all[ things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?I the LORD search the heart,[ I] try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways,[ and] according to the fruit of his doings.

And did eat and drink before the LORD on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed[ him] unto the LORD[ to be] the chief governor, and Zadok[ to be] priest.

And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.
