‘ I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations, where they were strangers. The land they left behind them was so desolate that no one traveled through it. This is how they made the pleasant land desolate.’”

爾之土產、及爾勞而得者、將為爾所未識之民吞噬、爾惟受虐見迫、歷久如是、

耶和華必散爾於列邦、自地極至天涯、在彼奉事木石之神、爾與爾祖所未識者、

耶和華必散爾於列邦、在其導爾所至之國、餘者無幾、

耶和華之怒已發、有若暴風旋風、擊彼惡人之首、

耶和華曰、咨、我曾散爾於天之四風、爾其自北而遁、耶和華言之矣、

我曾翦滅列邦、使其堞樓闃寂、街衢荒涼、無人經之、其邑被毀、寂然無人、無居之者、

耶和華將見於其上、發矢如閃電、主耶和華吹角、御南方之旋風而行、

論海濱原野之預示、○其來也、自曠野可畏之地、勢如南方之狂風、猛然掃過、

耶和華曰、以色列家歟、遠方有國、既強且古、爾曹不識其方言、不明其所語、我必導之攻爾、

我必燃火於拉巴城垣、燬其宮室、在呼喊戰鬥之日、颶風暴雨之時、

耶和華之怒已發、有若暴風颶風、擊彼惡人之首、

是時必告斯民、與耶路撒冷曰、炎熇之風、來自曠野之荒邱、向我民女而吹、非為簸之、非為潔之、又有更大之風、為我而至、今我將行鞫於彼也、

二十三年、侍衛長尼布撒拉旦、虜七百四十五人、共計四千六百、○

牧伯謂巴錄曰、爾與耶利米宜往匿、毋令人知爾所在、

耶和華必使遠民、如鷹之飛、來自地極、以攻擊爾、其言爾不之識、

耶和華遲於發怒、具有大能、干罪者決不赦宥、耶和華之道途、在於颶風狂飇、雲為其足下之塵埃、

爾以戈矛、刺其戰士之首、彼眾來如颶風、使我四散、其所喜者、暗噬貧民、

應耶和華藉耶利米口所言、斯土享其安息、蓋地荒蕪、得其安息、盈七十年、○

我必散爾於異邦、襲爾以白刃、荒涼爾土、闃寂爾邑、

故我傾怒洩忿於猶大諸邑、及耶路撒冷街衢、如火之焚、使之荒寂、有如今日、

主歟、願依爾仁義、使爾忿怒、轉離爾邑耶路撒冷、即爾聖山、今因我儕之罪、及我列祖之愆、耶路撒冷與爾民、為四周之人所辱、我上帝歟、請聽爾僕之禱告祈求、為爾之故、以爾容光、照爾荒寂之聖所、我上帝歟、求爾傾耳而聽、啟目視我荒蕪之區、及以爾名而稱之邑、我陳所祈於爾前、非因己義、乃因爾之鴻慈也、

其一又生小角、漸成極大、向南向東、亦向榮美之地、

荊棘為薪、其釜未熱、青者、焦者、俱為旋風吹去兮、

諸國衝突、若多水之奔騰、惟彼叱之、使之遠遁、如山上之秕穅、為風驅逐、又如塵土、隨風轉旋、

萬軍之耶和華曰、災害必自此國、至於彼國、狂風起於地極、是日也、耶和華所戮者、自天之涯、迄地之極、無人哀哭、無人收殮、不得瘞埋、必在地上、成為糞土、

使暴獸入爾境、攘爾子女、滅爾牲畜、以致戶口凋零、道途寂寞、○

耶和華必蒞臨於火、其乘輅若旋風、忿然發怒、以烈焰加譴責、
