‘ I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations, where they were strangers. The land they left behind them was so desolate that no one traveled through it. This is how they made the pleasant land desolate.’”

你土地的出產和你勞碌得來的一切，都必被你不認識的民族吃盡；你必常常受壓迫和壓制；

耶和華必使你分散在萬民中，從地的這邊到地的那邊；在那裡你要事奉你和你的列祖不認識的別的神，就是木頭和石頭做的神。

耶和華必使你們分散在萬民中；在耶和華要領你們所到的萬國中，你們剩下的人數必不多。

看哪！耶和華的旋風，在震怒中發出，是旋轉的狂風，必捲到惡人的頭上。

“嗨！嗨！你們要從北方之地逃走（這是耶和華的宣告），因為我過去曾把你們分散在天的四方。”這是耶和華的宣告。

我耶和華已經剪除列國，他們的城樓被毀；我已經使他們的街道荒涼，以致杳無人跡；他們的城市荒廢，以致無人存留，無人居住。

耶和華必在他子民頭上顯現，他的箭必像閃電一般射出；主耶和華必吹起號角，乘著南方的暴風而行。

關於海旁曠野的默示：有敵人從曠野，從可怕之地而來，好像南地的暴風猛烈掃過一般。

以色列家啊！我必使一國從遠方來攻擊你們。”這是耶和華的宣告。“那國歷久不衰，從古就有；他們的言語你們不懂得，他們所說的你們不明白。

在戰爭之日的吶喊中，在風雨天的暴風中；我必在拉巴的城牆放火，燒毀他的堡壘。

看哪！耶和華的旋風，在震怒中發出，是橫掃的狂風，必捲到惡人的頭上。

到那時，必有話對這人民和耶路撒冷說：“有一陣熱風從曠野光禿的高岡，颳向我的子民（“我的子民”原文作“我子民的女子”），不是為簸散，也不是為揚淨；這過強的風要為我颳來，我就要向他們宣告我的判詞。”

尼布甲尼撒第二十三年，護衛長尼布撒拉旦擄去猶大人七百四十五名。總數是四千六百人。

眾領袖對巴錄說：“你和耶利米都要去躲藏起來；不要給人知道你們在甚麼地方。”

“耶和華必從遠方，從地極把一國的民帶來，像鷹一般飛來攻擊你；這民的語言你不會聽；

耶和華不輕易發怒，可是大有能力；他絕不以有罪的為無罪。耶和華乘著狂風暴雨而來，雲彩是他腳下的塵土。

你用他的槍，刺透他戰士的頭。他們來如暴風，把我們驅散。他們的喜好，是暗中吞噬窮人。

這樣，就應驗了耶和華藉耶利米所說的話：直到這地享滿了安息，因為這地在荒涼的日子，就享安息，直到滿了七十年。

我要把你們分散在萬國中，我又拔出刀來追趕你們；你們的地成為荒涼，你們的城市變成荒場。

因此，我必傾出我的烈怒和怒氣，在猶大的各城鎮和耶路撒冷的街上燒起，以致它們都荒涼廢棄，像今天一樣。’

主啊！求你按著你的一切公義，使你的怒氣和忿怒轉離你的城耶路撒冷，就是你的聖山；因我們的罪和我們列祖的罪孽的緣故，耶路撒冷和你的子民成了在我們四圍的人羞辱的對象。現在，我們的神啊！求你垂聽你僕人的禱告和懇求；主啊！為了你自己的緣故，使你的臉光照你這荒涼了的聖所。我的神啊！求你側耳而聽，睜眼垂顧我們的荒涼，和那稱為你名下的城；因為我們向你懇求，並不是因著自己的義，而是因著你的大憐憫。

從這四個角中的一個角，又長出一個小角來，這小角向南、向東和向榮美之地，不斷強大起來。

你們用荊棘燒火，鍋還未熱，他要用旋風把燒著的和未燒著的一起颳去。

萬族怒號，好像眾水湧流，但神必斥責他們，使他們遠遠逃跑；他們又被追趕，如同山上風前的糠秕，又像暴風前的塵土捲動。

萬軍之耶和華這樣說：“看哪！必有災禍發出，從這國直到那國；必有大風暴從地極颳起。”到那日，從地的這邊到地的那邊，都必有被耶和華刺死的人；必沒有人為他們悲哀，沒有人收殮他們、埋葬他們；他們都必在地面上成為糞肥。

打發野地的走獸到你們中間，奪去你們的兒女，殘害你們的牲畜，減少你們的人口，使你們的道路荒涼。

看哪！耶和華必在火中降臨，他的戰車好像旋風；他要以猛烈的怒氣施行報應，用火燄施行斥責。
