“ Since they refused to listen when I called to them, I would not listen when they called to me, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

万军之耶和华说：“我曾呼唤他们，他们不听；将来他们呼求我，我也不听！

万军之耶和华说：我曾呼唤他们，他们不听；将来他们呼求我，我也不听！

万军之耶和华说：我曾呼唤他们，他们不听；将来他们呼求我，我也不听！

祂说，‘我曾呼唤他们，他们不听；将来他们呼求我，我也不听。

我曾呼唤他们，他们不听；照样，将来他们呼求我，我也不听。这是万军之耶和华说的。

萬軍之耶和華說：「我曾呼喚他們，他們不聽；將來他們呼求我，我也不聽！

萬軍之耶和華說：我曾呼喚他們，他們不聽；將來他們呼求我，我也不聽！

萬軍之耶和華說：我曾呼喚他們，他們不聽；將來他們呼求我，我也不聽！

祂說，『我曾呼喚他們，他們不聽；將來他們呼求我，我也不聽。

我曾呼喚他們，他們不聽；照樣，將來他們呼求我，我也不聽。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

『我呼喚，他們既怎樣不聽，那麼他們呼求，我也就照樣不聞了』：這是萬軍之永恆主說的。

萬軍之耶和華說：『既然我呼喚他們，他們不聽，那麼他們呼喚我，我也不聽。

萬軍之耶和華曰、我呼之、而彼不聽、彼呼我、我亦不聽、

萬有之主耶和華曰、昔我諭眾、眾不聽從、今眾籲我、我亦不聽、

萬有之主曰、我呼彼、彼不聽、彼籲我、我亦不聽、

“‘ When I called, they did not listen; so when they called, I would not listen,’ says the Lord Almighty.

“ When I called, they did not listen,” says the Lord.“ So when they called, I would not listen.

“ As I called, and they would not hear, so they called, and I would not hear,” says the Lord of hosts,

Just as he had called, and they would not listen, so when they called, I would not listen, says the LORD of Armies.

And just as He called and they would not listen, so they called and I would not listen,” says the Lord of armies;

Therefore it happened, that just as He proclaimed and they would not hear, so they called out and I would not listen,” says the Lord of hosts.

And it is come to pass that, as he cried, and they would not hear, so they shall cry, and I will not hear, said Jehovah of hosts;

Just as He had called, and they would not listen, so when they called, I would not listen,” says the Lord of Hosts.

Therefore it is come to pass,[ that] as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts:

“‘ It then came about that just as I cried out, but they would not obey, so they will cry out, but I will not listen,’ the LORD LORD WHO RULES OVER ALL had said.

It has come to pass that, as he called, and they refused to listen, so they will call, and I will not listen,” said Yahweh of Armies;

“ I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come. I reached out to you, but you paid no attention.You ignored my advice and rejected the correction I offered.So I will laugh when you are in trouble! I will mock you when disaster overtakes you—when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster engulfs you like a cyclone, and anguish and distress overwhelm you.“ When they cry for help, I will not answer. Though they anxiously search for me, they will not find me.

When they fast, I will pay no attention. When they present their burnt offerings and grain offerings to me, I will not accept them. Instead, I will devour them with war, famine, and disease.”

When you lift up your hands in prayer, I will not look. Though you offer many prayers, I will not listen, for your hands are covered with the blood of innocent victims.

Therefore, this is what the Lord says: I am going to bring calamity upon them, and they will not escape. Though they beg for mercy, I will not listen to their cries.

Then you beg the Lord for help in times of trouble! Do you really expect him to answer? After all the evil you have done, he won’t even look at you!”

“ Listen to me, O my people, while I give you stern warnings. O Israel, if you would only listen to me!You must never have a foreign god; you must not bow down before a false god.For it was I, the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it with good things.“ But no, my people wouldn’t listen. Israel did not want me around.So I let them follow their own stubborn desires, living according to their own ideas.

And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong— you want only what will give you pleasure.

This is what the Lord says:“ Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls. But you reply,‘ No, that’s not the road we want!’I posted watchmen over you who said,‘ Listen for the sound of the alarm.’ But you replied,‘ No! We won’t pay attention!’

Those who shut their ears to the cries of the poor will be ignored in their own time of need.

When the master of the house has locked the door, it will be too late. You will stand outside knocking and pleading,‘ Lord, open the door for us!’ But he will reply,‘ I don’t know you or where you come from.’

“ Son of man, tell the leaders of Israel,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: How dare you come to ask me for a message? As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, I will tell you nothing!’

God detests the prayers of a person who ignores the law.

“ How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes.Before long your enemies will build ramparts against your walls and encircle you and close in on you from every side.They will crush you into the ground, and your children with you. Your enemies will not leave a single stone in place, because you did not recognize it when God visited you.”

“ Son of man, these leaders have set up idols in their hearts. They have embraced things that will make them fall into sin. Why should I listen to their requests?

Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling,‘ Lord! Lord! Open the door for us!’“ But he called back,‘ Believe me, I don’t know you!’

“ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God’s messengers! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me.And now, look, your house is abandoned. And you will never see me again until you say,‘ Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

Why was no one there when I came? Why didn’t anyone answer when I called? Is it because I have no power to rescue? No, that is not the reason! For I can speak to the sea and make it dry up! I can turn rivers into deserts covered with dying fish.
