鐵石其心、不聽法律、與萬軍之耶和華以其神藉古先知所傳之言、緣此、萬軍之耶和華大發其怒、

剛愎厥心、同於鐵石、不聽法度、我耶和華、以我神感古先知、遣之告眾、惟彼不聽、故我萬有之主耶和華、震怒特甚。

They made their hearts as hard as flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the Lord Almighty had sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. So the Lord Almighty was very angry.

这人民十分顽固，心里刚硬，我差派你到他们那里去。你要对他们说：‘主耶和华这样说。’

你要使这子民的心思迟钝（“迟钝”直译是“蒙脂油”），耳朵不灵，眼睛昏暗，免得他们眼睛看见，耳朵听见，心里明白，回转过来，得到医治。”

以色列众人都违背了你的律法，偏离了你，不听从你的话，因此，神的仆人摩西的律法书上所记载的咒诅和誓言，都倾倒在我们身上；我们实在得罪了神。他实现了他的预言，按着他向我们和那些治理我们的官长所说过的话，使大灾祸临到我们身上；耶路撒冷所遇的灾祸是在普天之下从未发生过的。

以色列家却不肯听从你，因为他们不肯听从我，整个以色列家都是额坚心硬的。看哪！我要使你的脸像他们的脸一样坚硬，使你的前额像他们的前额一样坚硬。我要使你的额好像最坚硬的宝石，比火石更硬。他们虽然是叛逆的民族，你却不要怕他们，在他们面前，也不要惊惶。”

那落在路旁的，就是人听了，魔鬼随即来到，从他们心里把道夺去，恐怕他们相信就得救了。

因为这人民的心思迟钝，用不灵的耳朵去听，又闭上了眼睛；免得自己眼睛看见，耳朵听见，心里明白，回转过来，我就医好他们。’

“你们颈项刚硬、心和耳都未受割礼的人哪！你们时常抗拒圣灵，你们的祖先怎样，你们也怎样。有哪一个先知，你们的祖先不迫害呢？你们杀了那些预先宣告那义者要来的人，现在又把那义者出卖了，杀害了。

这些犹太人杀了主耶稣和众先知，又把我们赶出来。他们得不到神的喜悦，并且和所有的人作对，阻挠我们向外族人传道，不让他们得救，以致恶贯满盈。神的忿怒终必临到他们身上。

这些话耶和华不是曾藉着从前的先知宣告了吗？那时，耶路撒冷和四围的城镇都有人居住，很是兴旺，南地和高地都有人居住。’”

他心里有智慧，而且有极大的能力，有谁对他刚硬而平安无事呢？

因为这人民的心思迟钝，用不灵的耳朵去听，又闭上了眼睛；免得自己眼睛看见，耳朵听见，心里明白，回转过来，我就医好他们。’

至于你，你憎恨管教，并且把我的话丢在背后。

犹大王希西家和犹大众人可曾把他处死呢？希西家不是敬畏耶和华，求他开恩，以致耶和华回心转意，没有把他所说的灾祸降在他们身上吗？但我们现在竟自招大祸。”

耶和华啊！你的眼目不是要看诚实的事吗？你击打他们，他们却不觉得伤痛；你摧毁他们，他们仍不肯接受管教。他们板着脸，脸皮比磐石还硬，总不肯回转。

“犹大的罪是用铁笔铭记的，是用金钢钻刻在他们的心版上，和他们（“他们”有古抄本作“你们”）祭坛的角上。

叫他们‘看是看见了，却不领悟，听是听见了，却不明白，免得他们回转过来，得到赦免。’”

并且在那些沉沦的人身上，行各样不义的欺诈，因为他们不领受爱真理的心，使他们得救。因此，神就使错谬的思想运行在他们当中，让他们相信虚谎，叫所有不信真理倒喜爱不义的人，都被定罪。

因为预言不是出于人意的，而是人受圣灵的感动，说出从神而来的话。

就是把他们心里基督的灵所预先见证，关于基督要受苦难后来得荣耀，是在什么时候和怎样的情况加以考察。他们蒙了启示，为这些事效力，并不是为自己，而是为你们。现在，藉着传福音给你们的人，靠着从天上差来的圣灵，把这些事传给了你们；甚至天使也很想详细察看这些事。

光来到世上，世人因为自己的行为邪恶，不爱光倒爱黑暗，定他们罪的原因，就在这里。凡作恶的都恨光，不来接近光，免得他的恶行暴露出来。

因为我知道你是顽固的，你的颈项是铁的，你的额是铜的，
