And He called to me, and spoke to me, saying,“ See, those who go toward the north country have given rest to My Spirit in the north country.”

Then cried he to me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, they that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.

Then He summoned me saying,“ See, those going to the land of the north have pacified My Spirit in the northern land.”

Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.

Then he called to me, and spoke to me, saying,“ Behold, those who go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.”

Then my anger will be fully vented; I will exhaust my rage on them, and I will be appeased. Then they will know that I, the LORD, have spoken in my jealousy when I have fully vented my rage against them.

But I am greatly displeased with the nations that take my grace for granted. I was a little displeased with them, but they have only made things worse for themselves.

All you who live in the world, who reside on the earth, you will see a signal flag raised on the mountains; you will hear a trumpet being blown.For this is what the LORD has told me:“ I will wait and watch from my place, like scorching heat produced by the sunlight, like a cloud of mist in the heat of harvest.”

I will exhaust my rage on you, and then my fury will turn from you. I will calm down and no longer be angry.

Then you will remember, be ashamed, and remain silent when I make atonement for all you have done, declares the sovereign LORD.’”

Then one powerful angel picked up a stone like a huge millstone, threw it into the sea, and said,“ With this kind of sudden violent force Babylon the great city will be thrown down and it will never be found again!And the sound of the harpists, musicians, flute players, and trumpeters will never be heard in you again. No craftsman who practices any trade will ever be found in you again; the noise of a mill will never be heard in you again.

Like a woman in labor I groan; I pant and gasp.I will make the trees on the mountains and hills wither up; I will dry up all their vegetation. I will turn streams into islands, and dry up pools of water.
