他又高声对我说：“看啊，那些到北方去的已在那里使我的心得到安慰。”

他又呼唤我，对我说：“你看，那些出来往北方之地去的，已经在北方之地使我心灵的忿怒平息下来。”

他又呼叫我說：「看哪，往北方去的已在北方安慰我的心。」

彼召我曰、爾視往北方者、已雪我忿已雪我忿或作已安我心在北方、○

Then he called to me,“ Look, those going toward the north country have given my Spirit rest in the land of the north.”

Then the Lord called out to me,“ Look! The horses going toward the north have given my Spirit rest in the north country.”

Then he cried to me,“ Behold, those who go toward the north country have set my Spirit at rest in the north country.”

Then the Lord summoned me and said,“ Look, those who went north have vented the anger of my Spirit there in the land of the north.”

Then he summoned me saying,“ See, those going to the land of the north have pacified my Spirit in the northern land.”

Then He called out to me and spoke to me, saying,“ See, those who are going to the land of the north have appeased My wrath in the land of the north.”

And He called to me, and spoke to me, saying,“ See, those who go toward the north country have given rest to My Spirit in the north country.”

Then cried he to me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, they that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.

Then He summoned me saying,“ See, those going to the land of the north have pacified My Spirit in the northern land.”

Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.

Then he cried out to me,“ Look! The ones going to the northland have brought me peace about the northland.”

Then he called to me, and spoke to me, saying,“ Behold, those who go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.”

“ Then my anger will cease and my wrath against them will subside, and I will be avenged. And when I have spent my wrath on them, they will know that I the Lord have spoken in my zeal. (niv)

and I am very angry with the nations that feel secure. I was only a little angry, but they went too far with the punishment.’ (niv)

All you people of the world, you who live on the earth, when a banner is raised on the mountains, you will see it, and when a trumpet sounds, you will hear it.This is what the Lord says to me:“ I will remain quiet and will look on from my dwelling place, like shimmering heat in the sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.” (niv)

Then my wrath against you will subside and my jealous anger will turn away from you; I will be calm and no longer angry. (niv)

Then, when I make atonement for you for all you have done, you will remember and be ashamed and never again open your mouth because of your humiliation, declares the Sovereign Lord.’” (niv)

God gave Oreb and Zeeb, the Midianite leaders, into your hands. What was I able to do compared to you?” At this, their resentment against him subsided. (niv)

Then heaven and earth and all that is in them will shout for joy over Babylon, for out of the north destroyers will attack her,” declares the Lord.“ Babylon must fall because of Israel’s slain, just as the slain in all the earth have fallen because of Babylon. (niv)

“ Come together, all of you, and listen: Which of the idols has foretold these things? The Lord’s chosen ally will carry out his purpose against Babylon; his arm will be against the Babylonians. (niv)

“‘ Now your impurity is lewdness. Because I tried to cleanse you but you would not be cleansed from your impurity, you will not be clean again until my wrath against you has subsided. (niv)

Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said:“ With such violence the great city of Babylon will be thrown down, never to be found again.The music of harpists and musicians, pipers and trumpeters, will never be heard in you again. No worker of any trade will ever be found in you again. The sound of a millstone will never be heard in you again. (niv)

Samson said to them,“ Since you’ve acted like this, I swear that I won’t stop until I get my revenge on you.” (niv)

If a ruler’s anger rises against you, do not leave your post; calmness can lay great offenses to rest. (niv)

This is what your Sovereign Lord says, your God, who defends his people:“ See, I have taken out of your hand the cup that made you stagger; from that cup, the goblet of my wrath, you will never drink again.I will put it into the hands of your tormentors, who said to you,‘ Fall prostrate that we may walk on you.’ And you made your back like the ground, like a street to be walked on.” (niv)

The Lord will march out like a champion, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies.“ For a long time I have kept silent, I have been quiet and held myself back. But now, like a woman in childbirth, I cry out, I gasp and pant.I will lay waste the mountains and hills and dry up all their vegetation; I will turn rivers into islands and dry up the pools. (niv)
