后来，会有一个勇猛的王兴起，他必执掌大权，任意而行；但他兴起以后，他的王权必被打碎，向着天的四方分开，不会归于他的后代，也不会像他曾经执掌的权势那样；因为他的王权必被拔出，归于他后代以外的人。“南方王会强盛，但他的首领中会有一个比他更强盛；这人必另外执掌权柄，他的权柄极大。过了几年，南北结盟。南方王的女儿必嫁给北方王，为了实现合约；但她不能维持自己的势力，南方王的势力也不能存留；这女子和那些带她来的，还有生她的，以及在那些时候扶持她的，都必被交出去。

“看哪，有另一只兽，就是第二只，仿佛一只熊！它用一侧站立，口中的牙齿之间有三根肋骨；有话对它这样说：‘起来，吞吃大量的肉！’“此后我继续观看，看哪，又有另一只兽好像豹子！它的背上有鸟的四个翅膀；这兽有四个头，并且被赐予了权柄。

后来，北方王必侵入南方王的国，然后返回本国。
