And the angel answered and said to me,“ These are four spirits of heaven, who go out from their station before the Lord of all the earth.

使者曰、此乃天之四風、侍於全地之主前、奉遣而出、

天使曰、此乃四天神、恆侍於天下之主側、今已出矣、

天使曰、此乃天之四風、風或作神靈曾侍立於普天下之主前、今已出矣、

The angel answered me,“ These are the four spirits of heaven, going out from standing in the presence of the Lord of the whole world.

The angel answered,“ The four spirits of heaven. They are going out to serve the Lord of the whole world.

And the angel answered and said to me,“ These are going out to the four winds of heaven, after presenting themselves before the Lord of all the earth.

The angel replied,“ These are the four spirits of heaven who stand before the Lord of all the earth. They are going out to do his work.

The angel told me,“ These are the four spirits of heaven going out after presenting themselves to the Lord of the whole earth.

The angel replied to me,“ These are the four spirits of heaven, going out after taking their stand before the Lord of all the earth,

And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four winds of heaven, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

The angel told me,“ These are the four spirits of heaven going out after presenting themselves to the Lord of the whole earth.

And the angel answered and said unto me, These[ are] the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

The messenger replied,“ These are the four spirits of heaven that have been presenting themselves before the Lord of all the earth.

The angel answered me,“ These are the four winds of the sky, which go out from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

And of the angels He says:“ Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire.”

He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters, Who makes the clouds His chariot, Who walks on the wings of the wind,Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire.

And the man who stood among the myrtle trees answered and said,“ These are the ones whom the Lord has sent to walk to and fro throughout the earth.”So they answered the Angel of the Lord, who stood among the myrtle trees, and said,“ We have walked to and fro throughout the earth, and behold, all the earth is resting quietly.”

Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

And the angel answered and said to him,“ I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings.

So the cherubim lifted up their wings, with the wheels beside them, and the glory of the God of Israel was high above them.

And when I looked, there were four wheels by the cherubim, one wheel by one cherub and another wheel by each other cherub; the wheels appeared to have the color of a beryl stone.As for their appearance, all four looked alike— as it were, a wheel in the middle of a wheel.When they went, they went toward any of their four directions; they did not turn aside when they went, but followed in the direction the head was facing. They did not turn aside when they went.And their whole body, with their back, their hands, their wings, and the wheels that the four had, were full of eyes all around.As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing,“ Wheel.”Each one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, the second face the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.And the cherubim were lifted up. This was the living creature I saw by the River Chebar.When the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them; and when the cherubim lifted their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also did not turn from beside them.When the cherubim stood still, the wheels stood still, and when one was lifted up, the other lifted itself up, for the spirit of the living creature was in them.Then the glory of the Lord departed from the threshold of the temple and stood over the cherubim.And the cherubim lifted their wings and mounted up from the earth in my sight. When they went out, the wheels were beside them; and they stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD’s house, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.

A fiery stream issued And came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, And the books were opened.

Daniel spoke, saying,“ I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea.

Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth— to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—saying with a loud voice,“ Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”And another angel followed, saying,“ Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice,“ If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand,he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me,“ Write:‘ Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’”“ Yes,” says the Spirit,“ that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”

For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the Lord, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.”

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.

Also from within it came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: they had the likeness of a man.Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings.Their legs were straight, and the soles of their feet were like the soles of calves’ feet. They sparkled like the color of burnished bronze.The hands of a man were under their wings on their four sides; and each of the four had faces and wings.Their wings touched one another. The creatures did not turn when they went, but each one went straight forward.As for the likeness of their faces, each had the face of a man; each of the four had the face of a lion on the right side, each of the four had the face of an ox on the left side, and each of the four had the face of an eagle.Thus were their faces. Their wings stretched upward; two wings of each one touched one another, and two covered their bodies.And each one went straight forward; they went wherever the spirit wanted to go, and they did not turn when they went.As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches going back and forth among the living creatures. The fire was bright, and out of the fire went lightning.And the living creatures ran back and forth, in appearance like a flash of lightning.Now as I looked at the living creatures, behold, a wheel was on the earth beside each living creature with its four faces.The appearance of the wheels and their workings was like the color of beryl, and all four had the same likeness. The appearance of their workings was, as it were, a wheel in the middle of a wheel.When they moved, they went toward any one of four directions; they did not turn aside when they went.As for their rims, they were so high they were awesome; and their rims were full of eyes, all around the four of them.When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.Wherever the spirit wanted to go, they went, because there the spirit went; and the wheels were lifted together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.When those went, these went; when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.The likeness of the firmament above the heads of the living creatures was like the color of an awesome crystal, stretched out over their heads.And under the firmament their wings spread out straight, one toward another. Each one had two which covered one side, and each one had two which covered the other side of the body.When they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of many waters, like the voice of the Almighty, a tumult like the noise of an army; and when they stood still, they let down their wings.A voice came from above the firmament that was over their heads; whenever they stood, they let down their wings.And above the firmament over their heads was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like a sapphire stone; on the likeness of the throne was a likeness with the appearance of a man high above it.Also from the appearance of His waist and upward I saw, as it were, the color of amber with the appearance of fire all around within it; and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw, as it were, the appearance of fire with brightness all around.Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. So when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of One speaking.

Then Micaiah said,“ Therefore hear the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing on His right hand and His left.And the Lord said,‘ Who will persuade Ahab king of Israel to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner.

After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree.

“ Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

So he said,“ These are the two anointed ones, who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth.”

Then Micaiah said,“ Therefore hear the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by, on His right hand and on His left.

Also He said to me,“ Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”’”

The chariots of God are twenty thousand, Even thousands of thousands; The Lord is among them as in Sinai, in the Holy Place.

For your Maker is your husband, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.

Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;

Then He said,“ Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake;

And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord.And the Lord said to Satan,“ From where do you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said,“ From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”
