The messenger replied,“ These are the four spirits of heaven that have been presenting themselves before the Lord of all the earth.

使者曰、此乃天之四風、侍於全地之主前、奉遣而出、

天使曰、此乃四天神、恆侍於天下之主側、今已出矣、

天使曰、此乃天之四風、風或作神靈曾侍立於普天下之主前、今已出矣、

The angel answered me,“ These are the four spirits of heaven, going out from standing in the presence of the Lord of the whole world.

The angel answered,“ The four spirits of heaven. They are going out to serve the Lord of the whole world.

And the angel answered and said to me,“ These are going out to the four winds of heaven, after presenting themselves before the Lord of all the earth.

The angel replied,“ These are the four spirits of heaven who stand before the Lord of all the earth. They are going out to do his work.

The angel told me,“ These are the four spirits of heaven going out after presenting themselves to the Lord of the whole earth.

The angel replied to me,“ These are the four spirits of heaven, going out after taking their stand before the Lord of all the earth,

And the angel answered and said to me,“ These are four spirits of heaven, who go out from their station before the Lord of all the earth.

And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four winds of heaven, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

The angel told me,“ These are the four spirits of heaven going out after presenting themselves to the Lord of the whole earth.

And the angel answered and said unto me, These[ are] the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

The angel answered me,“ These are the four winds of the sky, which go out from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

And he says of the angels,“ He makes his angels spirits and his ministers a flame of fire,”

and lays the beams of the upper rooms of his palace on the rain clouds. He makes the clouds his chariot, and travels along on the wings of the wind.He makes the winds his messengers, and the flaming fire his attendant.

Then the man standing among the myrtle trees spoke up and said,“ These are the ones whom the LORD has sent to walk about on the earth.”The riders then agreed with the angel of the LORD, who was standing among the myrtle trees,“ We have been walking about on the earth, and now everything is at rest and quiet.”

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve those who will inherit salvation?

The angel answered him,“ I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news.

Then the cherubim spread their wings with their wheels alongside them while the glory of the God of Israel hovered above them.

As I watched, I noticed four wheels by the cherubim, one wheel beside each cherub; the wheels gleamed like jasper.As for their appearance, all four of them looked the same, something like a wheel within a wheel.When they moved, they would go in any of the four directions they faced without turning as they moved; in the direction the head would turn they would follow without turning as they moved,along with their entire bodies, their backs, their hands, and their wings. The wheels of the four of them were full of eyes all around.As for their wheels, they were called“ the wheelwork” as I listened.Each of the cherubim had four faces: The first was the face of a cherub, the second that of a man, the third that of a lion, and the fourth that of an eagle.The cherubim rose up; these were the living beings I saw at the Kebar River.When the cherubim moved, the wheels moved beside them; when the cherubim spread their wings to rise from the ground, the wheels did not move from their side.When the cherubim stood still, the wheels stood still, and when they rose up, the wheels rose up with them, for the spirit of the living beings was in the wheels.Then the glory of the LORD moved away from the threshold of the temple and stopped above the cherubim.The cherubim spread their wings, and they rose up from the earth while I watched( when they went the wheels went alongside them). They stopped at the entrance to the east gate of the LORD’s temple as the glory of the God of Israel hovered above them.

A river of fire was streaming forth and proceeding from his presence. Many thousands were ministering to him; Many tens of thousands stood ready to serve him. The court convened and the books were opened.

Daniel explained:“ I was watching in my vision during the night as the four winds of the sky were stirring up the great sea.

Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, and he had an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth– to every nation, tribe, language, and people.He declared in a loud voice:“ Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has arrived, and worship the one who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water!”A second angel followed the first, declaring:“ Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great city! She made all the nations drink of the wine of her immoral passion.”A third angel followed the first two, declaring in a loud voice:“ If anyone worships the beast and his image, and takes the mark on his forehead or his hand,that person will also drink of the wine of God’s anger that has been mixed undiluted in the cup of his wrath, and he will be tortured with fire and sulfur in front of the holy angels and in front of the Lamb.And the smoke from their torture will go up forever and ever, and those who worship the beast and his image will have no rest day or night, along with anyone who receives the mark of his name.”This requires the steadfast endurance of the saints– those who obey God’s commandments and hold to their faith in Jesus.Then I heard a voice from heaven say,“ Write this:‘ Blessed are the dead, those who die in the Lord from this moment on!’”“ Yes,” says the Spirit,“ so they can rest from their hard work, because their deeds will follow them.”

For who dares make light of small beginnings? These seven eyes will joyfully look on the tin tablet in Zerubbabel’s hand.( These are the eyes of the LORD, which constantly range across the whole earth.)

Now the day came when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD– and Satan also arrived among them.

In the fire were what looked like four living beings. In their appearance they had human form,but each had four faces and four wings.Their legs were straight, but the soles of their feet were like calves’ feet. They gleamed like polished bronze.They had human hands under their wings on their four sides. As for the faces and wings of the four of them,their wings touched each other; they did not turn as they moved, but went straight ahead.Their faces had this appearance: Each of the four had the face of a man, with the face of a lion on the right, the face of an ox on the left and also the face of an eagle.Their wings were spread out above them; each had two wings touching the wings of one of the other beings on either side and two wings covering their bodies.Each moved straight ahead– wherever the spirit would go, they would go, without turning as they went.In the middle of the living beings was something like burning coals of fire or like torches. It moved back and forth among the living beings. It was bright, and lightning was flashing out of the fire.The living beings moved backward and forward as quickly as flashes of lightning.Then I looked, and I saw one wheel on the ground beside each of the four beings.The appearance of the wheels and their construction was like gleaming jasper, and all four wheels looked alike. Their structure was like a wheel within a wheel.When they moved they would go in any of the four directions they faced without turning as they moved.Their rims were high and awesome, and the rims of all four wheels were full of eyes all around.When the living beings moved, the wheels beside them moved; when the living beings rose up from the ground, the wheels rose up too.Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise up beside them because the spirit of the living being was in the wheel.When the living beings moved, the wheels moved, and when they stopped moving, the wheels stopped. When they rose up from the ground, the wheels rose up from the ground; the wheels rose up beside them because the spirit of the living being was in the wheel.Over the heads of the living beings was something like a platform, glittering awesomely like ice, stretched out over their heads.Under the platform their wings were stretched out, each toward the other. Each of the beings also had two wings covering its body.When they moved, I heard the sound of their wings– it was like the sound of rushing waters, or the voice of the Almighty, or the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.Then there was a voice from above the platform over their heads when they stood still.Above the platform over their heads was something like a sapphire shaped like a throne. High above on the throne was a form that appeared to be a man.I saw an amber glow like a fire enclosed all around from his waist up. From his waist down I saw something that looked like fire. There was a brilliant light around it,like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds after the rain. This was the appearance of the surrounding brilliant light; it looked like the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I threw myself face down, and I heard a voice speaking.

Micaiah said,“ That being the case, hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, with all the heavenly assembly standing on his right and on his left.The LORD said,‘ Who will deceive King Ahab of Israel, so he will attack Ramoth Gilead and die there?’ One said this and another that.

After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth so no wind could blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree.

“ See that you do not disdain one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

So he said,“ These are the two anointed ones who stand by the Lord of the whole earth.”

Micaiah said,“ That being the case, hear the word of the LORD. I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, with all the heavenly assembly standing on his right and on his left.

He said to me,“ Prophesy to the breath,– prophesy, son of man– and say to the breath:‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these corpses so that they may live.’”

God has countless chariots; they number in the thousands. The Lord comes from Sinai in holy splendor.

For your husband is the one who made you– the LORD who commands armies is his name. He is your protector, the Holy One of Israel. He is called“ God of the entire earth.”

O fire and hail, snow and clouds, O stormy wind that carries out his orders,

The LORD said,“ Go out and stand on the mountain before the LORD. Look, the LORD is ready to pass by.” A very powerful wind went before the LORD, digging into the mountain and causing landslides, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the windstorm there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.

And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet blast, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Again the day came when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also arrived among them to present himself before the LORD.And the LORD said to Satan,“ Where do you come from?” Satan answered the LORD,“ From roving about on the earth, and from walking back and forth across it.”
