Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

It is he who will build the temple of the Lord, and he will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he will be a priest on his throne. And there will be harmony between the two.’

That is what he will do. He will be dressed in majesty as if it were his royal robe. He will sit as king on his throne. He will also be a priest there. So he will combine the positions of king and priest in himself.’

It is he who shall build the temple of the Lord and shall bear royal honor, and shall sit and rule on his throne. And there shall be a priest on his throne, and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.”’

Yes, he will build the Temple of the Lord. Then he will receive royal honor and will rule as king from his throne. He will also serve as priest from his throne, and there will be perfect harmony between his two roles.’

Yes, he will build the LORD’s temple; he will bear royal splendor and will sit on his throne and rule. There will be a priest on his throne, and there will be peaceful counsel between the two of them.

Yes, it is He who will build the temple of the Lord, and He who will bear the majesty and sit and rule on His throne. So He will be a priest on His throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two offices.” ’

Yes, He will build the Lord’s temple; He will be clothed in splendor and will sit on His throne and rule. There will also be a priest on His throne, and there will be peaceful counsel between the two of them.

Indeed, he will build the temple of the LORD, and he will be clothed in splendor, sitting as king on his throne. Moreover, there will be a priest with him on his throne and they will see eye to eye on everything.

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou[ art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

His glory[ is] great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.

I saw in the night visions, and, behold,[ one] like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion[ is] an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom[ that] which shall not be destroyed.

To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace[ be] unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and[ men] shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.Blessed[ be] the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.And blessed[ be] his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled[ with] his glory; Amen, and Amen.

But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing[ that is] not put under him. Whither the forerunner is for us entered,[ even] Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition[ between us];Having abolished in his flesh the enmity,[ even] the law of commandments[ contained] in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man,[ so] making peace;And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Know therefore and understand,[ that] from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince[ shall be] seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof[ shall be] with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make[ it] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

But this[ man], because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.For such an high priest became us,[ who is] holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law,[ maketh] the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

Surely his salvation[ is] nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed[ each other].Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him[ was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.His eyes[ were] as a flame of fire, and on his head[ were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.And he[ was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.And the armies[ which were] in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.And he hath on[ his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this[ is] his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set[ him] at his own right hand in the heavenly[ places],Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:And hath put all[ things] under his feet, and gave him[ to be] the head over all[ things] to the church,Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast[ our] profession.For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as[ we are, yet] without sin.Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he[ was] the priest of the most high God.

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of[ things] in heaven, and[ things] in earth, and[ things] under the earth;And[ that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ[ is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Gird thy sword upon[ thy] thigh, O[ most] mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness[ and] righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set[ them] upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;

Then said he, These[ are] the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
