I looked up again, and there before me were four chariots coming out from between two mountains— mountains of bronze.

I looked up again and saw four chariots. They were coming out from between two mountains. The mountains were made out of bronze.

Again I lifted my eyes and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains. And the mountains were mountains of bronze.

Then I looked up again and saw four chariots coming from between two bronze mountains.

Then I looked up again and saw four chariots coming from between two mountains. The mountains were made of bronze.

Now I raised my eyes again and looked, and behold, four chariots were going out from between the two mountains; and the mountains were bronze mountains.

Then I turned and raised my eyes and looked, and behold, four chariots were coming from between two mountains, and the mountains were mountains of bronze.

And again I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.

Then I looked up again and saw four chariots coming from between two mountains. And the mountains were made of bronze.

And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains[ were] mountains of brass.

Once more I looked, and this time I saw four chariots emerging from between two mountains of bronze.

Again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of bronze.

The four horns that replaced the one that was broken off represent four kingdoms that will emerge from his nation but will not have the same power.

The angel answered me,“ These are the four spirits of heaven, going out from standing in the presence of the Lord of the whole world.

In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,

They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen.

But let the stump and its roots, bound with iron and bronze, remain in the ground, in the grass of the field.“‘ Let him be drenched with the dew of heaven, and let him live with the animals among the plants of the earth.

Then I looked up, and there before me were four horns.I asked the angel who was speaking to me,“ What are these?” He answered me,“ These are the horns that scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem.”

This is the plan determined for the whole world; this is the hand stretched out over all nations.For the Lord Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?

I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say,‘ My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far- off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do.

But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.

All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him:“ What have you done?”

in your hands he has placed all mankind and the beasts of the field and the birds in the sky. Wherever they live, he has made you ruler over them all. You are that head of gold.“ After you, another kingdom will arise, inferior to yours. Next, a third kingdom, one of bronze, will rule over the whole earth.Finally, there will be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron— for iron breaks and smashes everything— and as iron breaks things to pieces, so it will crush and break all the others.

He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor.“ For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; on them he has set the world.

Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep. You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.

There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.

Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?”

Four great beasts, each different from the others, came up out of the sea.“ The first was like a lion, and it had the wings of an eagle. I watched until its wings were torn off and it was lifted from the ground so that it stood on two feet like a human being, and the mind of a human was given to it.“ And there before me was a second beast, which looked like a bear. It was raised up on one of its sides, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. It was told,‘ Get up and eat your fill of flesh!’“ After that, I looked, and there before me was another beast, one that looked like a leopard. And on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule.“ After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast— terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns.

But if he remains silent, who can condemn him? If he hides his face, who can see him? Yet he is over individual and nation alike,

I looked again, and there before me was a flying scroll.

according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
