Then I looked up again and saw four chariots coming from between two mountains. The mountains were made of bronze.

我又举目观看，见有四辆车从两山中间出来；那山是铜山。

我復舉目、見有四車、出自二山之間、其山乃銅山也、

我又仰觀、有二岡巒、俱以銅鑄、其間四車齊出、

我又舉目而觀、見車四乘、自二山間而出、山乃銅山、

I looked up again, and there before me were four chariots coming out from between two mountains— mountains of bronze.

I looked up again and saw four chariots. They were coming out from between two mountains. The mountains were made out of bronze.

Again I lifted my eyes and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains. And the mountains were mountains of bronze.

Then I looked up again and saw four chariots coming from between two bronze mountains.

Now I raised my eyes again and looked, and behold, four chariots were going out from between the two mountains; and the mountains were bronze mountains.

Then I turned and raised my eyes and looked, and behold, four chariots were coming from between two mountains, and the mountains were mountains of bronze.

And again I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.

Then I looked up again and saw four chariots coming from between two mountains. And the mountains were made of bronze.

And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains[ were] mountains of brass.

Once more I looked, and this time I saw four chariots emerging from between two mountains of bronze.

Again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of bronze.

The four horns that took the place of the broken horn represent four kingdoms. They will rise from that nation, but without its power.

The angel told me,“ These are the four spirits of heaven going out after presenting themselves to the Lord of the whole earth.

In him we have also received an inheritance, because we were predestined according to the plan of the one who works out everything in agreement with the purpose of his will,

to do whatever your hand and your will had predestined to take place.

But leave the stump with its roots in the ground and with a band of iron and bronze around it in the tender grass of the field. Let him be drenched with dew from the sky and share the plants of the earth with the animals.

Then I looked up and saw four horns.So I asked the angel who was speaking with me,“ What are these?” And he said to me,“ These are the horns that scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”

This is the plan prepared for the whole earth, and this is the hand stretched out against all the nations.The LORD of Armies himself has planned it; therefore, who can stand in its way? It is his hand that is outstretched, so who can turn it back?

I declare the end from the beginning, and from long ago what is not yet done, saying: my plan will take place, and I will do all my will.I call a bird of prey from the east, a man for my purpose from a far country. Yes, I have spoken; so I will also bring it about. I have planned it; I will also do it.

The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of his heart from generation to generation.

All the inhabitants of the earth are counted as nothing, and he does what he wants with the army of heaven and the inhabitants of the earth. There is no one who can block his hand or say to him,“ What have you done?”

Wherever people live— or wild animals, or birds of the sky— he has handed them over to you and made you ruler over them all. You are the head of gold.“ After you, there will arise another kingdom, inferior to yours, and then another, a third kingdom, of bronze, which will rule the whole earth.A fourth kingdom will be as strong as iron; for iron crushes and shatters everything, and like iron that smashes, it will crush and smash all the others.

He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the trash heap. He seats them with noblemen and gives them a throne of honor. For the foundations of the earth are the LORD’s; he has set the world on them.

Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your judgments like the deepest sea. LORD, you preserve people and animals.

No wisdom, no understanding, and no counsel will prevail against the LORD.

Also, from today on I am he alone, and none can rescue from my power. I act, and who can reverse it?”

Four huge beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other.“ The first was like a lion but had eagle’s wings. I continued watching until its wings were torn off. It was lifted up from the ground, set on its feet like a man, and given a human mind.“ Suddenly, another beast appeared, a second one, that looked like a bear. It was raised up on one side, with three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. It was told,‘ Get up! Gorge yourself on flesh.’“ After this, while I was watching, suddenly another beast appeared. It was like a leopard with four wings of a bird on its back. It had four heads, and it was given dominion.“ After this, while I was watching in the night visions, suddenly a fourth beast appeared, frightening and dreadful, and incredibly strong, with large iron teeth. It devoured and crushed, and it trampled with its feet whatever was left. It was different from all the beasts before it, and it had ten horns.

But when God is silent, who can declare him guilty? When he hides his face, who can see him? Yet he watches over both individuals and nations,

I looked up again and saw a flying scroll.

This is according to his eternal purpose accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
