The angelic messenger who had been speaking with me then returned and woke me, as a person is wakened from sleep.

Then the angel who talked with me returned and woke me up, like someone awakened from sleep.

Then the angel who was talking with me returned. He woke me up. It was as if I had been asleep.

And the angel who talked with me came again and woke me, like a man who is awakened out of his sleep.

Then the angel who had been talking with me returned and woke me, as though I had been asleep.

The angel who was speaking with me then returned and roused me as one awakened out of sleep.

Then the angel who had been speaking with me returned and woke me, like a person who is awakened from his sleep.

Now the angel who talked with me came back and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep.

And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.

Then they will say,‘ Under these conditions I can enjoy sweet sleep when I wake up and look around.’”

As he spoke with me, I fell into a trance with my face to the ground. But he touched me and stood me upright.

Then I asked one nearby,“ What are these, sir?” The angelic messenger who replied to me said,“ I will show you what these are.”

So I asked the angelic messenger who spoke with me,“ What are these?” He replied,“ These are the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”

He stretched out and fell asleep under the shrub. All of a sudden an angelic messenger touched him and said,“ Get up and eat.”He looked and right there by his head was a cake baking on hot coals and a jug of water. He ate and drank and then slept some more.The LORD’s angelic messenger came back again, touched him, and said,“ Get up and eat, for otherwise you won’t be able to make the journey.”

Now Peter and those with him were quite sleepy, but as they became fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him.

I alone was left to see this great vision. My strength drained from me, and my vigor disappeared; I was without energy.I listened to his voice, and as I did so I fell into a trance-like sleep with my face to the ground.Then a hand touched me and set me on my hands and knees.

At this point the angelic messenger who spoke to me went out, and another messenger came to meet him

Then the angel of the LORD exhorted Joshua solemnly:“ The LORD who rules over all says,‘ If you live and work according to my requirements, you will be able to preside over my temple and attend to my courtyards, and I will allow you to come and go among these others who are standing by you.

When he got up from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping, exhausted from grief.So he said to them,“ Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you will not fall into temptation!”

The LORD then addressed good, comforting words to the angelic messenger who was speaking to me.
