彼守日者、為主而守之也。食者為主而食、且致謝於天主焉；齋戒者為主而齋戒、亦致謝於天主焉。吾儕之中、孰能為己而生、為己而死乎？

是故飲食舉止、皆須以天主之光榮為前提。

世之眾賈亦當哀哀而哭之；蓋誰復購其貨物乎？其貨有金銀珠寶、細紵紫絳、錦緞緋布、又有各種香木象牙、珍貴木器、銅器、鐵器、玉器、以及肉桂香料、香膏、乳香、與酒油、麵粉、小麥、牛羊車馬、乃至人之身體靈魂、亦供其營業。巴比倫乎、爾向所貪戀繁華之果、今已蕩然無存；雖欲覓之、亦不可得矣。諸貨之商賈賴彼而致富者、懼禍之及己、乃遙立而哀泣曰：

耶穌入天主聖殿、盡逐殿中賈者、傾兌錢者之几、翻鬻鴿者之架；而諭之曰：『經云「吾宅應稱祈禱之所、」爾曹轉以為盜窟矣。』

凡梟獍、巫覡、淫亂、兇暴、崇拜偶像、妖言惑眾者、皆當擯諸邑外。

乃以繩為鞭、盡逐商賈及牛羊出殿、將兌錢者之銀錢傾注於地、而推翻其几、顧謂售鴿者曰：『速收拾以去！勿以吾父之室、轉為貿利之場！』

一切不淨及邪妄之徒、莫得而入；惟錄名於羔羊之生命冊者得入焉。

因此、爾等已不復為外人或賓旅、爾等與諸聖同為天國之公民、聖宅之家人。此聖宅、以宗徒先知為基、而有耶穌基督親充隅石；石上廣廈、經營正殷、結構日精、而規模日宏、駸駸乎將因主而成為聖殿矣。爾等亦為此廣廈之一部、聖神所建於同一隅石之上、以供天主之居停者也。

復進耶路撒冷、入聖殿、逐殿中賈者出、傾銀商之桌、覆鴿販之椅、禁人攜具過殿、且訓之曰：『經不云乎、「吾殿應稱萬民祈禱之所、」爾乃以之為盜窟矣。』

俾汝知曉任事於天主宅第中者、應如何修身砥行。天主宅第者、即永生天主之教會、而真道之柱石也。

蓋審判之時機已熟；其以天主聖宅為開端、宜也。然既以吾人為開端、則一般未順天主福音之人、其結局又將如何！

禁止嫁娶、戒絕某種食物；夫食物乃天主所造也、亦在具有信德、而身體真道者、感恩受之而已矣。蓋天主所造皆善、固無有一物可以暴棄也。惟受之者當飲水思源耳。憑天主之聖言、及吾人之祈禱、萬物皆成聖潔矣。

寧不知為不義者必不得承天主之國乎？幸毋自欺！凡行淫亂、拜偶像、犯奸惡、為孌童、親男色、作盜賊、貪污、沉湎、謗人、勒索之徒、未有能承受天主之國者也。爾中以前亦有屬此類者、今則已賴吾主耶穌基督之名及天主聖神之恩、而洗滌夙穢且受聖而復義矣。

惟基督則為嗣子乃聖宅之主人也。聖宅者何、吾人是已；亦在吾人常存蓬勃之朝氣、與夫浩然之望德、堅忍不拔、莫負初心而已矣。
