因为日子将到，你的仇敌要筑起土垒包围你，四面困住你，并要消灭你和你里头的儿女，连一块石头也不留在另一块石头上，因为你不知道你蒙眷顾的时候。”

你若谨守耶和华—你神的诫命，遵行他的道，他必照他向你所起的誓立你为自己神圣的子民。地上的万民见你归在耶和华的名下，就必惧怕你。在耶和华向你列祖起誓应许赐你的土地上，他必使你身所生的，牲畜所生的，地所产的，都丰富有余。耶和华必为你敞开天上的宝库，按时降雨在你的地上。他必赐福你手里所做的一切。你必借给许多国家，却不必去借贷。你若听从耶和华—你神的诫命，就是我今日所吩咐你的，谨守遵行，耶和华就必使你作首不作尾，居上不居下，只要你不偏左右，不背离我今日所吩咐你的一切话，也不随从别神，事奉它们。”

“当你们看见先知但以理所说的那‘施行毁灭的亵渎者’站在圣地（读这经的人要会意），那时，在犹太的，应当逃到山上；

我要聚集万民，带他们下到约沙法谷去，在那里我要为我百姓，我产业以色列的缘故，向万民施行审判；因为他们把我的百姓分散到列国，瓜分了我的土地，

王就大怒，发兵除灭那些凶手，烧毁他们的城。

看哪，这些都写在我面前。我必不静默，却要施行报应，将你们和你们祖先的罪孽全都报应在后人身上；因为他们在山上烧香，在冈上亵渎我，我要按他们先前所行的，报应在他们身上；这是耶和华说的。”

第四国必坚壮如铁，就像铁能打碎砸碎一切；铁怎样压碎一切，那国也必照样打碎压碎。你既看见像的脚和脚趾头，一半是陶匠的泥，一半是铁，那国将来也必分裂。你既看见铁和泥搀杂，那国也必有铁的力量。那脚趾头既是半铁半泥，那国也必半强半弱。你既看见铁和泥搀杂，他们必有混杂的后裔，却不能彼此相合，正如铁和泥不能相合。

所以耶和华如此说：‘你的妻子要在城中作妓女，你的儿女要倒在刀下；你的地必有人用绳子量了瓜分，你自己必死在不洁净之地；以色列百姓必被掳，离开本地。’”

他们在锡安玷污妇人，在犹大城镇污辱少女。他们吊起领袖的手，使长老脸上无光。

他必竖立大旗，召集远方的国民，把他们从地极叫来。看哪，他们必急速奔来，

“耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷啊，你常杀害先知，又用石头打死那奉差遣到你这里来的人。我多少次想聚集你的儿女，好像母鸡把小鸡聚集在翅膀底下，但是你们不愿意。看吧，你们的家要被废弃成为荒芜。

敌人伸手夺取她的一切贵重物品；她眼见列国侵入她的圣所，你曾吩咐他们不可进入你的集会。

但另一妇人就是在上的耶路撒冷，是自由的，她是我们的母亲。因为经上记着：“不怀孕、不生养的，你要欢乐；未曾经过产难的，你要高声欢呼；因为没有丈夫的，比有丈夫的有更多的儿女。”

这全地的人，三分之二将被剪除而死，三分之一仍必存留。这是耶和华说的。我要使这三分之一经过火，熬炼他们，如熬炼银子；试炼他们，如试炼金子。他们要求告我的名，我必应允他们。我说：“这是我的子民。”他们要说：“耶和华是我的神。”

当因我所造的欢喜快乐，直到永远；看哪，因为我造耶路撒冷为人所喜，造其中的居民为人所乐。

巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒率领他的全军和地上他管辖的各国各邦，攻打耶路撒冷和耶路撒冷所有的城镇。那时，耶和华的话临到耶利米，说：

在那些日子，凯撒奥古斯都降旨，叫全国人民都登记户籍。
