看哪！這都被記在我面前：我不再靜默，一定報應；我必把他們的罪孽、他們祖先的罪孽一同報應在他們懷中。因為他們在山上燒香，在岡陵上辱罵我，所以我必稱量他們先前的行為，報應在他們懷中。」耶和華如此說：「當新酒在累累葡萄中被發現時，人怎樣說：『不要毀滅它，因為有祝福在其中』，我也要怎樣做——為我僕人們的緣故，不把一切都毀滅。我必使後裔從雅各而出，使我眾山的繼承人從猶大而來；我的選民必擁有那地，我的僕人們必居住在那裡。

他要向遠方的國家豎起旗幟，發出哨聲召來地極的人；看哪，他們必飛快迅速而來！

「耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷！這城殺害先知們，又用石頭砸死被差到她這裡的人！我多次想聚集你的兒女，像母雞把自己的小雞聚集在翅膀下，可是你們不願意！看哪，你們的家要被廢棄成為荒場。

但那在上面的耶路撒冷是自由女人；她是我們的母親。因為經上記著：「不能生育、沒有生產的女子啊，你要歡喜！沒有經歷臨產陣痛的女子啊，你要放聲呼喊！因為沒有丈夫的女子，比有丈夫的女子有更多的兒女。」
