Pray to me when you are in trouble! I will deliver you, and you will honor me!”

For I know what I have planned for you,’ says the LORD.‘ I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope.When you call out to me and come to me in prayer, I will hear your prayers.

This brings you great joy, although you may have to suffer for a short time in various trials.Such trials show the proven character of your faith, which is much more valuable than gold– gold that is tested by fire, even though it is passing away– and will bring praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

And then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

Look, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have purified you in the furnace of misery.

The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

They will not work in vain, or give birth to children that will experience disaster. For the LORD will bless their children and their descendants.Before they even call out, I will respond; while they are still speaking, I will hear.

Today you have declared the LORD to be your God, and that you will walk in his ways, keep his statutes, commandments, and ordinances, and obey him.And today the LORD has declared you to be his special people( as he already promised you) so you may keep all his commandments.Then he will elevate you above all the nations he has made and you will receive praise, fame, and honor. You will be a people holy to the LORD your God, as he has said.

Dear friends, do not be astonished that a trial by fire is occurring among you, as though something strange were happening to you.

Then you will again be my people and I will be your God.

Who can endure the day of his coming? Who can keep standing when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire, like a launderer’s soap.He will act like a refiner and purifier of silver and will cleanse the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then they will offer the LORD a proper offering.

For you, O God, tested us; you purified us like refined silver.You led us into a trap; you caused us to suffer.You allowed men to ride over our heads; we passed through fire and water, but you brought us out into a wide open place.

“ I( says the LORD) will strengthen the kingdom of Judah and deliver the people of Joseph and will bring them back because of my compassion for them. They will be as though I had never rejected them, for I am the LORD their God and therefore I will hear them.

“ At that time, I will willingly respond,” declares the LORD.“ I will respond to the sky, and the sky will respond to the ground;then the ground will respond to the grain, the new wine, and the olive oil; and they will respond to‘ God Plants’( Jezreel)!Then I will plant her as my own in the land. I will have pity on‘ No Pity’( Lo-Ruhamah). I will say to‘ Not My People’( Lo-Ammi),‘ You are my people!’ And he will say,‘ You are my God!’”

“ But I will make a new covenant with the whole nation of Israel after I plant them back in the land,” says the LORD.“ I will put my law within them and write it on their hearts and minds. I will be their God and they will be my people.

Jesus answered them,“ You are deceived, because you don’t know the scriptures or the power of God.For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.Now as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God,‘ I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living!”

The LORD pays attention to the godly and hears their cry for help.But the LORD opposes evildoers and wipes out all memory of them from the earth.The godly cry out and the LORD hears; he saves them from all their troubles.The LORD is near the brokenhearted; he delivers those who are discouraged.The godly face many dangers, but the LORD saves them from each one of them.

When you pass through the waters, I am with you; when you pass through the streams, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you.

When he calls out to me, I will answer him. I will be with him when he is in trouble; I will rescue him and bring him honor.

“ For this is the covenant that I will establish with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and I will inscribe them on their hearts. And I will be their God and they will be my people.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying:“ Look! The residence of God is among human beings. He will live among them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them.He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will not exist any more– or mourning, or crying, or pain, for the former things have ceased to exist.”

“ I will pour out on the kingship of David and the population of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication so that they will look to me, the one they have pierced. They will lament for him as one laments for an only son, and there will be a bitter cry for him like the bitter cry for a firstborn.

For there is no distinction between the Jew and the Greek, for the same Lord is Lord of all, who richly blesses all who call on him.For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.How are they to call on one they have not believed in? And how are they to believe in one they have not heard of? And how are they to hear without someone preaching to them?

The crucible is for refining silver and the furnace is for gold, likewise the LORD tests hearts.

Happy is the one who endures testing, because when he has proven to be genuine, he will receive the crown of life that God promised to those who love him.

It will so happen that everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be delivered. For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who survive, just as the LORD has promised; the remnant will be those whom the LORD will call.

I will walk among you, and I will be your God and you will be my people.

My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people.

For no one can lay any foundation other than what is being laid, which is Jesus Christ.If anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw,each builder’s work will be plainly seen, for the Day will make it clear, because it will be revealed by fire. And the fire will test what kind of work each has done.

And I will bring them to settle within Jerusalem. They will be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and righteousness.’

How blessed are the people who experience these things! How blessed are the people whose God is the LORD!

so that they may follow my statutes and observe my regulations and carry them out. Then they will be my people, and I will be their God.

But he knows the pathway that I take; if he tested me, I would come forth like gold.

In spite of this, however, when they are in the land of their enemies I will not reject them and abhor them to make a complete end of them, to break my covenant with them, for I am the LORD their God.I will remember for them the covenant with their ancestors whom I brought out from the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations to be their God. I am the LORD.’”

“ Now, listen, Jacob my servant, Israel whom I have chosen!”This is what the LORD, the one who made you, says– the one who formed you in the womb and helps you:“ Don’t be afraid, my servant Jacob, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen!For I will pour water on the parched ground and cause streams to flow on the dry land. I will pour my spirit on your offspring and my blessing on your children.They will sprout up like a tree in the grass, like poplars beside channels of water.One will say,‘ I belong to the LORD,’ and another will use the name‘ Jacob.’ One will write on his hand,‘ The LORD’s,’ and use the name‘ Israel.’”This is what the LORD, Israel’s king, says, their protector, the LORD who commands armies:“ I am the first and I am the last, there is no God but me.

Then you will call out, and the LORD will respond; you will cry out, and he will reply,‘ Here I am.’ You must remove the burdensome yoke from among you and stop pointing fingers and speaking sinfully.

They will be my people, and I will be their God.

Then you will live in the land I gave to your fathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God.
