He will say,‘ I am not a prophet; I work the land, for a man purchased me as a servant since my youth.’

他乃是要說：「我不是神言人，我乃是耕地的人；因為我從幼年以來地就是我所有的。」

他會說：『我不是先知，我是種地的，因為在我年幼時，就被人賣為奴。』

乃曰、我非先知、乃農夫耳、自幼為奴、

乃告人曰、我非先知、我乃農夫、我自幼時、被鬻為奴。

Each will say,‘ I am not a prophet. I am a farmer; the land has been my livelihood since my youth.’

In fact, each one will say,‘ I’m not really a prophet. I’m a farmer. I’ve farmed the land since I was young.’

but he will say,‘ I am no prophet, I am a worker of the soil, for a man sold me in my youth.’

He will say,‘ I’m no prophet; I’m a farmer. I began working for a farmer as a boy.’

but he will say,‘ I am not a prophet; I am a cultivator of the ground, because a man sold me as a slave in my youth.’

But he will say,‘ I am no prophet, I am a farmer; for a man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.’

but he shall say, I am no prophet, I am a tiller of the ground; for I have been made a bondman from my youth.

He will say: I am not a prophet; I work the land, for a man purchased me as a servant since my youth.

Instead he will say,‘ I am no prophet– indeed, I am a farmer, for a man has made me his indentured servant since my youth.’

So Amos answered Amaziah,“ I was not a prophet or the son of a prophet; rather, I was a herdsman, and I took care of sycamore figs.

When this became known to everyone who lived in Ephesus, both Jews and Greeks, they became afraid, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high esteem.And many who had become believers came confessing and disclosing their practices,while many of those who had practiced magic collected their books and burned them in front of everyone. So they calculated their value and found it to be fifty thousand pieces of silver.In this way the word of the Lord spread and prevailed.
