『永恆主必像先前賜勝利給猶大的帳棚，使大衛家的光榮跟耶路撒冷居民的光榮不至於勝過猶大其餘城市的光榮。

耶和華必首先拯救猶大的帳篷，為要使大衛家的榮耀和耶路撒冷居民的榮耀不超過猶大。

“ The Lord will save the dwellings of Judah first, so that the honor of the house of David and of Jerusalem’s inhabitants may not be greater than that of Judah.

“ I will save the houses in Judah first. The honor of David’s family line is great. So is the honor of those who live in Jerusalem. But their honor will not be greater than the honor of the rest of Judah.

“ And the Lord will give salvation to the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not surpass that of Judah.

“ The Lord will give victory to the rest of Judah first, before Jerusalem, so that the people of Jerusalem and the royal line of David will not have greater honor than the rest of Judah.

The LORD will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of David’s house and the glory of Jerusalem’s residents may not be greater than that of Judah.

The Lord also will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem will not be greater than Judah.

除主復何怙。有感寧無願。

然則吾人復何所誇？實無所誇也。尚憑何法？其憑事功之法乎？非也！乃憑立信之法耳。

爾時耶穌又言曰：『頌揚聖父、天地真主！蓋爾隱此道於智巧之人、而啟之於赤子；父之妙旨、不亦善乎。

務使幸災者。弄巧反成拙。

且天主之所以福惠吾人者、亦已厚矣。經云：『天主抑驕福謙、』此之謂也。

然此真光之在吾人、猶珍寶之藏於瓦器也。應知可貴者在天主之德、而不在吾人之身。故吾人雖四面受迫而未陷絕境也；雖進退維谷、而未淪末路也；備受窘逐、而未為天主所棄也；飽嘗磨折、而未見消滅也；恆體耶穌之死、亦欲體耶穌之生也。蓋吾人雖有生、實無時不為耶穌而死、庶幾吾人血肉之軀、亦得載耶穌之生、而顯揚之耳。總之、吾人之死、亦所以促進爾等之生也。

法利塞人曰：『得毋爾曹亦受其熒惑乎！夫薦紳先生、及法利塞人有信之者乎？惟彼眾庶、昧於律法、其亦可詛也已！』

願吾兄弟一思其聖召之所在。爾中鮮有世俗之所謂哲人、亦鮮有強有力者、與出身於貴族之人、雖然、世俗所視為愚者、天主則簡拔之、以愧眾哲；世俗所視為弱者、天主則簡拔之、以勝強有力者；世俗所認為卑卑不足道而視若無物者、天主則簡拔之、以毀滅有名無實之徒；庶幾血肉之身、無敢自衒自誇於天主之前。爾等得優遊於耶穌基督之中、天主之恩也；而耶穌基督實已成為吾人之智慧、正義、聖德、與救贖矣。經云：『誇耀者、誇耀天主也可、』此之謂歟。

惡黨充街衢。行為暴且譎。

運臂耀神德、傲慢頓粉潰；王侯遭傾覆、卑賤升高位；飢者飫珍饈、富人赤手退。

親愛之兄弟、爾其諦聽、斯世之貧人、乃天主之所眷顧、使其富於信德、而簡為天國之嗣子。蓋天國特為愛慕天主之人而設也。

當時主感於聖神、不勝忻愉曰：『偉哉聖父！天地之主！爾令世之智者昧於妙道、而獨啟迪赤子之心。父乎、是誠爾之美意。
