Jehovah also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem be not magnified above Judah.

耶和華必首先拯救猶大的帳篷，為要使大衛家的榮耀和耶路撒冷居民的榮耀不超過猶大。

主必先救猶大之帷幕、帷幕或作營為欲使大衛家及耶路撒冷居民、不得向猶大民自誇、向猶大民自誇或作自榮藐視猶大

“ The Lord will save the dwellings of Judah first, so that the honor of the house of David and of Jerusalem’s inhabitants may not be greater than that of Judah.

“ I will save the houses in Judah first. The honor of David’s family line is great. So is the honor of those who live in Jerusalem. But their honor will not be greater than the honor of the rest of Judah.

“ And the Lord will give salvation to the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not surpass that of Judah.

“ The Lord will give victory to the rest of Judah first, before Jerusalem, so that the people of Jerusalem and the royal line of David will not have greater honor than the rest of Judah.

The LORD will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of David’s house and the glory of Jerusalem’s residents may not be greater than that of Judah.

The Lord also will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem will not be greater than Judah.

Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will turn again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have compassion on his dwelling- places; and the city shall be builded upon its own hill, and the palace shall be inhabited after its own manner.

The lofty looks of man shall be brought low, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.For there shall be a day of Jehovah of hosts upon all that is proud and haughty, and upon all that is lifted up; and it shall be brought low;and upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,and upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,and upon every lofty tower, and upon every fortified wall,and upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant imagery.And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.

In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old;

For I said, Lest they rejoice over me: When my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.

If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, And plead against me my reproach;

Where then is the glorying? It is excluded. By what manner of law? of works? Nay: but by a law of faith.

At that season Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes:yea, Father, for so it was well- pleasing in thy sight.

And it was broken in that day; and thus the poor of the flock that gave heed unto me knew that it was the word of Jehovah.

Let them be put to shame and confounded together that rejoice at my hurt: Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor that magnify themselves against me.

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore the scripture saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves;we are pressed on every side, yet not straitened; perplexed, yet not unto despair;pursued, yet not forsaken; smitten down, yet not destroyed;always bearing about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body.For we who live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh.So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

The Pharisees therefore answered them, Are ye also led astray?Hath any of the rulers believed on him, or of the Pharisees?But this multitude that knoweth not the law are accursed.

For behold your calling, brethren, that not many wise after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put to shame them that are wise; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong;and the base things of the world, and the things that are despised, did God choose, yea and the things that are not, that he might bring to nought the things that are:that no flesh should glory before God.But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Jehovah of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.

For it was not an enemy that reproached me; Then I could have borne it: Neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; Then I would have hid myself from him:

He hath showed strength with his arm; He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their heart.He hath put down princes from their thrones, And hath exalted them of low degree.The hungry he hath filled with good things; And the rich he hath sent empty away.

Thus saith Jehovah, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches;but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he hath understanding, and knoweth me, that I am Jehovah who exerciseth lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith Jehovah.

Hearken, my beloved brethren; did not God choose them that are poor as to the world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to them that love him?

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of Jehovah unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith Jehovah of hosts.

In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes: yea, Father; for so it was well- pleasing in thy sight.
