Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? yea, it shall rise up wholly like the River; and it shall be troubled and sink again, like the River of Egypt.

And I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me.

Which of the prophets did not your fathers persecute? and they killed them that showed before of the coming of the Righteous One; of whom ye have now become betrayers and murderers;

then will I make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.

Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, I, even I, have seen it, saith Jehovah.But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I caused my name to dwell at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.And now, because ye have done all these works, saith Jehovah, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not:therefore will I do unto the house which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I did to Shiloh.

But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye shut the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye enter not in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering in to enter.

And Jehovah said, Call his name Lo- ammi; for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass that, in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.

And in that day, saith Jehovah, there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and a wailing from the second quarter, and a great crashing from the hills.

Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the pride of the Jordan against the strong habitation: for I will suddenly make them run away from it; and whoso is chosen, him will I appoint over it: for who is like me? and who will appoint me a time? and who is the shepherd that will stand before me?

The young lions have roared upon him, and yelled; and they have made his land waste: his cities are burned up, without inhabitant.

Her princes in the midst of her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they leave nothing till the morrow.

And Jehovah said unto me, Take unto thee yet again the instruments of a foolish shepherd.For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, who will not visit those that are cut off, neither will seek those that are scattered, nor heal that which is broken, nor feed that which is sound; but he will eat the flesh of the fat sheep, and will tear their hoofs in pieces.Woe to the worthless shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.

And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send thee forth far hence unto the Gentiles.And they gave him audience unto this word; and they lifted up their voice, and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth: for it is not fit that he should live.

Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken away from you, and shall be given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.And he that falleth on this stone shall be broken to pieces: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will scatter him as dust.And when the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.

Save me from the lion’s mouth; Yea, from the horns of the wild- oxen thou hast answered me.

Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left behind shall fall by the sword.And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of men.And your tires shall be upon your heads, and your shoes upon your feet: ye shall not mourn nor weep; but ye shall pine away in your iniquities, and moan one toward another.Thus shall Ezekiel be unto you a sign; according to all that he hath done shall ye do: when this cometh, then shall ye know that I am the Lord Jehovah.And thou, son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their heart, their sons and their daughters,

Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, are these.

Then they suborned men, who said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and seized him, and brought him into the council,and set up false witnesses, who said, This man ceaseth not to speak words against this holy place, and the law:for we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered unto us.

And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen; and the Lord Jehovah will slay thee; and he will call his servants by another name:

What then? That which Israel seeketh for, that he obtained not; but the election obtained it, and the rest were hardened:according as it is written, God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear, unto this very day.And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, And a stumblingblock, and a recompense unto them:Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, And bow thou down their back always.I say then, Did they stumble that they might fall? God forbid: but by their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy.Now if their fall is the riches of the world, and their loss the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?

In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

Let them alone: they are blind guides. And if the blind guide the blind, both shall fall into a pit.
