For behold, I am going to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for the perishing, seek the scattered, heal the broken, or provide for the one who is exhausted, but will devour the flesh of the fat sheep and tear off their hoofs.

因為你看，我在這地興起一個牧民者：被抹毁的、他不看顧，流蕩的、他不尋找，受折傷的、他不醫治，能自立的、他不供養，而肥壯者的肉、他反而喫掉，甚至牠們的蹄子、他也撕裂！

看哪，我必使一個牧人在這地興起！那將被除滅的，他不眷顧；那分散的，他不尋找；那受傷的，他不治癒；那精疲力竭的，他不扶養；他卻要吞吃肥羊的肉，撕裂牠們的蹄。

我將興一牧於斯土、彼不顧喪亡者、不尋離散者、不醫被傷者、不飼茁壯者、惟食肥者之肉、而斷其蹄、

我必使牧者興於斯土、將亡者彼不顧、迷途者彼不尋、被傷者彼不醫、茁壯者彼不牧、惟食肥羊、而斷其蹄、

我必使一牧者興於斯地、將亡者彼不顧、迷途者彼不尋、被傷者彼不醫、強壯者彼不牧、肥美者彼食其肉、且斷其蹏、

For I am going to raise up a shepherd over the land who will not care for the lost, or seek the young, or heal the injured, or feed the healthy, but will eat the meat of the choice sheep, tearing off their hooves.

I am going to raise up a shepherd over the land. He will not take care of those that are wounded. He will not look for the young ones. He will not heal those that are hurt. He will not feed the healthy ones. Instead, he will eat the best sheep. He will even tear their hooves off.

For behold, I am raising up in the land a shepherd who does not care for those being destroyed, or seek the young or heal the maimed or nourish the healthy, but devours the flesh of the fat ones, tearing off even their hoofs.

This illustrates how I will give this nation a shepherd who will not care for those who are dying, nor look after the young, nor heal the injured, nor feed the healthy. Instead, this shepherd will eat the meat of the fattest sheep and tear off their hooves.

I am about to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for those who are perishing, and he will not seek the lost or heal the broken. He will not sustain the healthy, but he will devour the flesh of the fat sheep and tear off their hooves.

For indeed I will raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for those who are cut off, nor seek the young, nor heal those that are broken, nor feed those that still stand. But he will eat the flesh of the fat and tear their hooves in pieces.

For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, who will not visit those that are cut off, neither will seek those that are scattered, nor heal that which is broken, nor feed that which is sound; but he will eat the flesh of the fat sheep, and will tear their hoofs in pieces.

I am about to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for those who are going astray, and he will not seek the lost or heal the broken. He will not sustain the healthy, but he will devour the flesh of the fat sheep and tear off their hooves.

For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land,[ which] shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.

Indeed, I am about to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not take heed to the sheep headed to slaughter, will not seek the scattered, and will not heal the injured. Moreover, he will not nourish the one that is healthy but instead will eat the meat of the fat sheep and tear off their hooves.

For, behold, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, who will not visit those who are cut off, neither will seek those who are scattered, nor heal that which is broken, nor feed that which is sound; but he will eat the meat of the fat sheep, and will tear their hoofs in pieces.

“ Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy and say to those shepherds,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ Woe, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding themselves! Should the shepherds not feed the flock?You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fat sheep without feeding the flock.Those who are sickly you have not strengthened, the diseased you have not healed, the broken you have not bound up, the scattered you have not brought back, nor have you searched for the lost; but with force and with violence you have dominated them.They scattered for lack of a shepherd, and they became food for every animal of the field and scattered.My flock strayed through all the mountains and on every high hill; My flock was scattered over all the surface of the earth, and there was no one to search or seek for them.” ’ ”

Therefore this is what the Lord, the God of Israel says concerning the shepherds who are tending My people:“ You have scattered My flock and driven them away, and have not been concerned about them; behold, I am going to call you to account for the evil of your deeds,” declares the Lord.

“ I will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bind up the broken, and strengthen the sick; but the fat and the strong I will eliminate. I will feed them with judgment.

But he said to him,“ My lord knows that the children are frail and that the flocks and herds that are nursing are a matter of concern to me. And if they are driven hard just one day, all the flocks will die.

But if that slave says in his heart,‘ My master will take a long time to come,’ and he begins to beat the other slaves, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk;then the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know, and will cut him in two, and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

For these twenty years I have been with you; your ewes and your female goats have not miscarried, nor have I eaten the rams of your flocks.

But David said to Saul,“ Your servant was tending his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and took a sheep from the flock,I went out after it and attacked it, and rescued the sheep from its mouth; and when it rose up against me, I grabbed it by its mane and struck it and killed it.

He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf snatches them and scatters the flock.He flees because he is a hired hand and does not care about the sheep.

“ Truly, truly I say to you, the one who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber.

“ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut the kingdom of heaven in front of people; for you do not enter it yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will demand My sheep from them and make them stop tending sheep. So the shepherds will not feed themselves anymore, but I will save My sheep from their mouth, so that they will not be food for them.” ’ ”

But if they had stood in My council, Then they would have announced My words to My people, And would have turned them back from their evil way And from the evil of their deeds.

Since you push away with your side and shoulder, and gore all the weak with your horns until you have scattered them abroad,

saying:“ The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of Moses.Therefore, whatever they tell you, do and comply with it all, but do not do as they do; for they say things and do not do them.And they tie up heavy burdens and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves are unwilling to move them with so much as their finger.

Like a shepherd He will tend His flock, In His arm He will gather the lambs And carry them in the fold of His robe; He will gently lead the nursing ewes.
