我又砍斷那稱為「聯合」的第二根杖，為要廢除猶大和以色列之間的兄弟之情。

我又折断称为“联索”的那根杖，表明我废弃犹大与以色列弟兄的情谊。

我又折断第二根杖，就是称为“联合”的那根杖，表明我废弃犹大与以色列弟兄间的情谊。

我又有杖、厥名維繫、我遂折之、為猶大以色列二族絕交之徵。

我之第二杖、稱維繫者、我遂折之、以示猶大與以色列兄弟之和好將廢、

Then I broke my second staff called Union, breaking the family bond between Judah and Israel.

Then I broke my second staff Union, annulling the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

Then I took my other staff, Union, and cut it in two, showing that the bond of unity between Judah and Israel was broken.

Then I cut in pieces my second staff Union, to break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

Then I cut in two my other staff, Bonds, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

Then I cut the second staff“ Binders” in two in order to annul the covenant of brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

瑪拿西吞噬以法蓮，以法蓮吞噬瑪拿西，他們又一同敵對猶大。即使如此，耶和華的怒氣還不轉消，他的手仍然伸出。

但如果你們心裡懷著苦毒的嫉妒和爭競，就不要自誇、說謊而抵擋真理。

你們中間的衝突是從哪裡來的？爭執是從哪裡來的？難道不是從你們身體各部分中交戰的私慾而來的嗎？你們渴望而不能擁有，就殺人；你們嫉妒而不能獲得，就爭鬥、作戰。你們不能擁有，是因為你們不求；你們求也不能得到，是因為你們求的動機不對，為了要花費在自己的私慾上。

於是，我就牧養這將被殺戮的羊群，就是困苦的羊群。我拿了兩根杖，一根稱為「恩慈」，另一根稱為「聯合」。這樣，我就牧養了羊群。

那時，許多人將被絆倒，彼此出賣，彼此憎恨；

要知道，哪裡有嫉妒和爭競，哪裡就有混亂和各樣的惡事。

以法蓮的嫉妒必消失，猶大的敵視必被剪除；以法蓮必不再嫉妒猶大，猶大也不再敵視以法蓮。

你們要當心！如果你們繼續相咬相吞，恐怕就要彼此毀滅了。

我說：「我不牧養你們了。那將要死的，就讓他死吧；那將被除滅的，就讓他被除滅吧；那將要留下的，就讓他們彼此吞吃對方的肉吧！」

他說了這話，法利賽人和撒都該人就起了爭執，會眾也分裂了。原來撒都該人說沒有復活，沒有天使，也沒有靈，但法利賽人卻承認這一切。於是他們大大地喧嚷起來。有些法利賽派的經文士們站起來激烈地爭辯，說：「我們查不出這個人有什麼錯。也許有靈或天使對他說過話呢！」爭執越來越激烈，千夫長擔心保羅會被他們撕碎，就命令軍隊下去，把保羅從他們當中搶出來，帶回營樓裡。
