昔我有杖、厥名恩寵、今折斯杖、為毀民約之徵、

我杖稱恩寵者、我遂折之、以示我與列民所立之約將廢、

Then I took my staff called Favor and broke it, revoking the covenant I had made with all the nations.

Then I got my staff called Favor. I broke it. That meant the covenant the Lord had made with all the nations was broken.

And I took my staff Favor, and I broke it, annulling the covenant that I had made with all the peoples.

So I pastured the flock doomed to slaughter, therefore also the afflicted of the flock. And I took for myself two staffs: the one I called Favor, and the other I called Union; so I pastured the flock.

You have repudiated the covenant of Your servant; You have profaned his crown in the dust.

Do not despise us, for the sake of Your own name; Do not disgrace the throne of Your glory. Remember and do not annul Your covenant with us.

“ Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord,“ when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah,not like the covenant which I made with their fathers on the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord.

And I will be their God, And they shall be My people.And they will not teach, each one his fellow citizen, And each one his brother, saying,‘ Know the Lord,’ For they will all know Me, From the least to the greatest of them.For I will be merciful toward their wrongdoings, And their sins I will no longer remember.”When He said,“ A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is about to disappear.

Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone.

Then after the sixty two weeks, the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.

Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place.

May the kindness of the Lord our God be upon us; And confirm for us the work of our hands; Yes, confirm the work of our hands.

For it is attested of Him,“ You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”For, on the one hand, there is the nullification of a former commandment because of its weakness and uselessness( for the Law made nothing perfect); on the other hand, there is the introduction of a better hope, through which we come near to God.And to the extent that it was not without an oath( for they indeed became priests without an oath, but He with an oath through the One who said to Him,“ The Lord has sworn And will not change His mind,‘ You are a priest forever’ ”);by the same extent Jesus also has become the guarantee of a better covenant.

And while some were talking about the temple, that it was decorated with beautiful stones and vowed gifts, He said,“ As for these things which you are observing, the days will come when there will not be left one stone upon another, which will not be torn down.”

For this is what the Lord God says:“ I will also do with you as you have done, you who have despised the oath by breaking the covenant.“ Nevertheless, I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you.Then you will remember your ways and be ashamed when you receive your sisters, both your older and your younger; and I will give them to you as daughters, but not because of your covenant.

‘ Speak to the house of Israel,“ This is what the Lord God says:‘ Behold, I am about to profane My sanctuary, the pride of your power, that which is precious in your eyes and the longing of your soul; and your sons and your daughters whom you have left behind will fall by the sword.

They put forward false witnesses who said,“ This man does not stop speaking against this holy place and the Law;for we have heard him say that this Nazarene, Jesus, will destroy this place and change the customs which Moses handed down to us.”

For I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated from Christ for the sake of my countrymen, my kinsmen according to the flesh,who are Israelites, to whom belongs the adoption as sons and daughters, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the Law, the temple service, and the promises;whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to the flesh, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.

Moreover, they transformed the splendor of His jewels into pride, and they made the images of their abominations and their detestable things with it; therefore I will make it an abhorrent thing to them.And I will hand it over to the foreigners as plunder, and to the wicked of the earth as spoils; and they will profane it.I will also turn My face away from them, and they will profane My treasure; then robbers will enter and profane it.

In accordance with the number of days that you spied out the land, forty days, for every day you shall suffer the punishment for your guilt a year, that is, forty years, and you will know My opposition.

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say,“ And to seeds,” as one would in referring to many, but rather as in referring to one,“ And to your seed,” that is, Christ.What I am saying is this: the Law, which came 430 years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise.For if the inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise.

Therefore the Lord God of Israel declares,‘ I did indeed say that your house and the house of your father was to walk before Me forever’; but now the Lord declares,‘ Far be it from Me— for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me will be insignificant.

And the Lord said,“ Name him Lo ammi, because you are not My people, and I am not your God.”
