But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a strong fortress for the people of Israel.“ Then you will know that I, the Lord your God, live in Zion, my holy mountain. Jerusalem will be holy forever, and foreign armies will never conquer her again.

“ What things?” Jesus asked.“ The things that happened to Jesus, the man from Nazareth,” they said.“ He was a prophet who did powerful miracles, and he was a mighty teacher in the eyes of God and all the people.

The best equipped army cannot save a king, nor is great strength enough to save a warrior.

Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?( As the Scriptures say,“ For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”)No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

“ Huddle together, you nations, and be terrified. Listen, all you distant lands. Prepare for battle, but you will be crushed! Yes, prepare for battle, but you will be crushed!

He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the Word of God.The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses.From his mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations.
