I asked,“ What are these going to do?” He answered,“ These horns are the ones that have scattered Judah so that there is no one to be seen. But the blacksmiths have come to terrify Judah’s enemies and cut off the horns of the nations that have thrust themselves against the land of Judah in order to scatter its people.”

于是我说：“这些人来作什么？”那天使回答：“他们就是把犹大赶散的角，以致没有一人可以抬起头来；但这些匠人要来惊吓列国，打掉他们的角；这些列国就是曾经举起他们的角攻击犹大地，把犹大地的人赶散的。”（本章第18~21节在《马索拉文本》为2:1~4）

我說：『這些人來作甚麼？』他告訴我說：『那些使猶大四散的角，使人不敢抬頭；但這些匠人來、是使列國驚惶，是要打下列國的角，就是那曾舉起角來牴觸猶大地、使它四散的。』

我就問：「這些人來做什麼呢？」他回答說：「那些打散猶大的犄角，使人不能抬起頭；而這些工匠來，要使那些犄角戰兢，打掉那些犄角之國——那些國曾舉起他們的犄角攻擊猶大地，為要打散它。」

我曰、其來何為、曰、此角驅散猶大、以致無人昂首、斯人之來、使之恐怖、且擲列邦之角、即高舉以攻猶大、而散之者也、

我曰、彼來欲何為、曰、前所見之四角、即異邦人崢嶸其角、攻擊猶大眾、使民離散、能扞禦者、卒無一人、今工師已來、使之震動、擲之於地。

我曰、彼來欲何為、曰、此角此角或作前所見之角散猶大人、使人不敢舉首、工師來欲使之恐懼、將異邦人之角、拋擲於地、蓋異邦人逞勢力、攻擊猶大地、逞勢力攻擊猶大地原文作向猶大地高舉其角分散其間居民、

I asked,“ What are these coming to do?” He answered,“ These are the horns that scattered Judah so that no one could raise their head, but the craftsmen have come to terrify them and throw down these horns of the nations who lifted up their horns against the land of Judah to scatter its people.”

I asked,“ What are they coming to do?” He answered,“ The horns are the powerful nations that scattered the people of Judah. That made Judah helpless. But these four skilled workers have come to terrify the horns. The workers will destroy the power of those nations. Those nations had used their power to scatter Judah’s people.”

And I said,“ What are these coming to do?” He said,“ These are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no one raised his head. And these have come to terrify them, to cast down the horns of the nations who lifted up their horns against the land of Judah to scatter it.”

“ What are these men coming to do?” I asked. The angel replied,“ These four horns— these nations— scattered and humbled Judah. Now these blacksmiths have come to terrify those nations and throw them down and destroy them.”

I asked,“ What are they coming to do?” He replied,“ These are the horns that scattered Judah so no one could raise his head. These craftsmen have come to terrify them, to cut off the horns of the nations that raised a horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.”

And I said,“ What are these coming to do?” And he said,“ These are the horns that have scattered Judah so that no one lifts up his head; but these craftsmen have come to frighten them, to throw down the horns of the nations who have lifted up their horns against the land of Judah in order to scatter it.”

And I said,“ What are these coming to do?” So he said,“ These are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no one could lift up his head; but the craftsmen are coming to terrify them, to cast out the horns of the nations that lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.”

Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head; but these are come to terrify them, to cast down the horns of the nations, which lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.

I asked,“ What are they coming to do?” He replied,“ These are the horns that scattered Judah so no one could raise his head. These craftsmen have come to terrify them, to cut off the horns of the nations that raised their horns against the land of Judah to scatter it.”

Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These[ are] the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up[ their] horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.

Then I asked,“ What are these coming to do?” He said,“ These are the horns which scattered Judah, so that no man lifted up his head; but these have come to terrify them, to cast down the horns of the nations, which lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.”

So I asked the angelic messenger who spoke with me,“ What are these?” He replied,“ These are the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”

The Lord has done what he planned; he has fulfilled his promise that he threatened long ago: He has overthrown you without mercy and has enabled the enemy to gloat over you; he has exalted your adversaries’ power.צ( Tsade)

I say to the proud,“ Do not be proud,” and to the wicked,“ Do not be so confident of victory!Do not be so certain you have won! Do not speak with your head held so high!

Then I heard the man clothed in linen who was over the waters of the river as he raised both his right and left hands to the sky and made an oath by the one who lives forever:“ It is for a time, times, and half a time. Then, when the power of the one who shatters the holy people has been exhausted, all these things will be finished.”

God says,“ I will bring down all the power of the wicked; the godly will be victorious.”
