故主如是云、我必施矜憫、復臨耶路撒冷、或作故主如是云我必復施矜憫歸耶路撒冷我之殿必復建在其中、必復用準繩、建築耶路撒冷之城垣、此乃萬有之主所言、

“ Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,” says the Lord.“ Many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and they shall become My people. And I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.

With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,” Says the Lord, your Redeemer.“ For this is like the waters of Noah to Me; For as I have sworn That the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, So have I sworn That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

“ The hands of Zerubbabel Have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know That the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.

So the elders of the Jews built, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the command of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.Now the temple was finished on the third day of the month of Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius.

And when the man went out to the east with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the water came up to my ankles.

He took me there, and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze. He had a line of flax and a measuring rod in his hand, and he stood in the gateway.

Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it?

And in that day you will say:“ O Lord, I will praise You; Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.

All the way around shall be eighteen thousand cubits; and the name of the city from that day shall be: THE LORD IS THERE.”

Who confirms the word of His servant, And performs the counsel of His messengers; Who says to Jerusalem,‘ You shall be inhabited,’ To the cities of Judah,‘ You shall be built,’ And I will raise up her waste places;Who says to the deep,‘ Be dry! And I will dry up your rivers’;Who says of Cyrus,‘ He is My shepherd, And he shall perform all My pleasure, Saying to Jerusalem,“ You shall be built,” And to the temple,“ Your foundation shall be laid.”’

The surveyor’s line shall again extend straight forward over the hill Gareb; then it shall turn toward Goath.And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields as far as the Brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be holy to the Lord. It shall not be plucked up or thrown down anymore forever.”

How long will you gad about, O you backsliding daughter? For the Lord has created a new thing in the earth— A woman shall encompass a man.”Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:“ They shall again use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I bring back their captivity:‘ The Lord bless you, O home of justice, and mountain of holiness!’And there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all its cities together, farmers and those going out with flocks.For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.”
