Then the man standing among the myrtle trees spoke up and said,“ These are the ones whom the LORD has sent to walk about on the earth.”

Then the man standing among the myrtle trees explained,“ They are the ones the Lord has sent to go throughout the earth.”

Then the man standing among the myrtle trees spoke. He said,“ They are the messengers the Lord has sent out. He told them to go all through the earth.”

So the man who was standing among the myrtle trees answered,‘ These are they whom the Lord has sent to patrol the earth.’

The rider standing among the myrtle trees then explained,“ They are the ones the Lord has sent out to patrol the earth.”

Then the man standing among the myrtle trees explained,“ They are the ones the LORD has sent to patrol the earth.”

And the man who was standing among the myrtle trees responded and said,“ These are the ones whom the Lord has sent to patrol the earth.”

And the man who stood among the myrtle trees answered and said,“ These are the ones whom the Lord has sent to walk to and fro throughout the earth.”

And the man that stood among the myrtle- trees answered and said, These are they whom Jehovah hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.

Then the man standing among the myrtle trees explained,“ They are the ones the Lord has sent to patrol the earth.”

And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These[ are they] whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.

The man who stood among the myrtle trees answered,“ They are the ones Yahweh has sent to go back and forth through the earth.”

The riders then agreed with the angel of the LORD, who was standing among the myrtle trees,“ We have been walking about on the earth, and now everything is at rest and quiet.”

The messenger replied,“ These are the four spirits of heaven that have been presenting themselves before the Lord of all the earth.The chariot with the black horses is going to the north country and the white ones are going after them, but the spotted ones are going to the south country.All these strong ones are scattering; they have sought permission to go and walk about over the earth.” The Lord had said,“ Go! Walk about over the earth!” So they are doing so.Then he cried out to me,“ Look! The ones going to the northland have brought me peace about the northland.”

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve those who will inherit salvation?

Again the day came when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also arrived among them to present himself before the LORD.And the LORD said to Satan,“ Where do you come from?” Satan answered the LORD,“ From roving about on the earth, and from walking back and forth across it.”

For who dares make light of small beginnings? These seven eyes will joyfully look on the tin tablet in Zerubbabel’s hand.( These are the eyes of the LORD, which constantly range across the whole earth.)

The LORD said to Satan,“ Where have you come from?” And Satan answered the LORD,“ From roving about on the earth, and from walking back and forth across it.”

I was attentive that night and saw a man seated on a red horse that stood among some myrtle trees in the ravine. Behind him were red, sorrel, and white horses.

In the womb he attacked his brother; in his manly vigor he struggled with God.He struggled with an angel and prevailed; he wept and begged for his favor. He found God at Bethel, and there he spoke with him!As for the LORD God Almighty, the LORD is the name by which he is remembered!

In the fire were what looked like four living beings. In their appearance they had human form,but each had four faces and four wings.Their legs were straight, but the soles of their feet were like calves’ feet. They gleamed like polished bronze.They had human hands under their wings on their four sides. As for the faces and wings of the four of them,their wings touched each other; they did not turn as they moved, but went straight ahead.Their faces had this appearance: Each of the four had the face of a man, with the face of a lion on the right, the face of an ox on the left and also the face of an eagle.Their wings were spread out above them; each had two wings touching the wings of one of the other beings on either side and two wings covering their bodies.Each moved straight ahead– wherever the spirit would go, they would go, without turning as they went.In the middle of the living beings was something like burning coals of fire or like torches. It moved back and forth among the living beings. It was bright, and lightning was flashing out of the fire.The living beings moved backward and forward as quickly as flashes of lightning.

So Jacob was left alone. Then a man wrestled with him until daybreak.When the man saw that he could not defeat Jacob, he struck the socket of his hip so the socket of Jacob’s hip was dislocated while he wrestled with him.Then the man said,“ Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.”“ I will not let you go,” Jacob replied,“ unless you bless me.”The man asked him,“ What is your name?” He answered,“ Jacob.”“ No longer will your name be Jacob,” the man told him,“ but Israel, because you have fought with God and with men and have prevailed.”Then Jacob asked,“ Please tell me your name.”“ Why do you ask my name?” the man replied. Then he blessed Jacob there.So Jacob named the place Peniel, explaining,“ Certainly I have seen God face to face and have survived.”The sun rose over him as he crossed over Penuel, but he was limping because of his hip.

“ Awake, sword, against my shepherd, against the man who is my associate,” says the LORD who rules over all. Strike the shepherd that the flock may be scattered; I will turn my hand against the insignificant ones.

Praise the LORD, you angels of his, you powerful warriors who carry out his decrees and obey his orders!Praise the LORD, all you warriors of his, you servants of his who carry out his desires!
