Then the man standing among the myrtle trees explained,“ They are the ones the Lord has sent to go throughout the earth.”

Then the man standing among the myrtle trees spoke. He said,“ They are the messengers the Lord has sent out. He told them to go all through the earth.”

So the man who was standing among the myrtle trees answered,‘ These are they whom the Lord has sent to patrol the earth.’

The rider standing among the myrtle trees then explained,“ They are the ones the Lord has sent out to patrol the earth.”

Then the man standing among the myrtle trees explained,“ They are the ones the LORD has sent to patrol the earth.”

And the man who was standing among the myrtle trees responded and said,“ These are the ones whom the Lord has sent to patrol the earth.”

And the man who stood among the myrtle trees answered and said,“ These are the ones whom the Lord has sent to walk to and fro throughout the earth.”

And the man that stood among the myrtle- trees answered and said, These are they whom Jehovah hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.

Then the man standing among the myrtle trees explained,“ They are the ones the Lord has sent to patrol the earth.”

And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These[ are they] whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.

Then the man standing among the myrtle trees spoke up and said,“ These are the ones whom the LORD has sent to walk about on the earth.”

The man who stood among the myrtle trees answered,“ They are the ones Yahweh has sent to go back and forth through the earth.”

彼眾遂覆立於岡拈樹間之耶和華使者曰、我儕已遍遊大地、見全地安居靜謐、

使者曰、此乃天之四風、侍於全地之主前、奉遣而出、駕玄馬者往北方、白馬從其後、斑駁之馬往南方、健馬出、欲遍行於地、使者曰、往哉、遍行於地、遂遍行於地焉、使者呼而謂我曰、往北方者、已安我心於北方矣、○

天使非皆服役之神、奉遣以事蒙救者乎、

又一日、上帝眾子詣耶和華前、撒但亦與焉、耶和華謂撒但曰、爾奚自、對曰、徧歷塵寰、往來其間而返、

誰藐視其日、以為細故乎、耶和華之七目、遍察全地、必喜見所羅巴伯手執準繩也、

彼則曰、我於夜間、見有乘赤馬者、立於谷中岡拈樹間、其後有赤紅白色之馬、

昔雅各在母胎中、執兄之踵、壯年之時、與上帝角力、與使者角力而獲勝、哭泣懇求之、上帝遇之於伯特利、在彼與我儕言、彼乃萬軍之上帝耶和華、耶和華乃其誌名也、

有四生物著於其中、其狀若人、各有四面、各有四翼、其腿乃直、掌若犢蹄、晶瑩若磨光之銅、翼下四旁有人手、其面與翼各四、其翼相連、行時直前不轉、其容皆如人面、右有獅面、左有牛面、後有鷹面、其翼高展、二翼交相比接、二翼蔽身、直行以前、隨神所欲、往而不轉、四生物狀若熾炭、亦若火炬、火炬升降於生物間、厥火灼爍、電發其中、生物往還、若電之閃、

雅各獨留、遇一人與之角力、迄於黎明、相角之時、其人自知不勝、觸雅各髀傷之、曰、容我去、天明矣、曰、不為我祝嘏、必不容爾去、曰爾何名、曰、雅各、曰、今而後、爾不復名雅各、當名以色列、蓋爾與上帝及人較量、而獲勝也、雅各曰、請以爾名告我、曰、曷問我名、遂在彼為之祝嘏、雅各名其地曰毘努伊勒、曰、我與上帝覿面、而我命尚存、日出時、雅各過毘努伊勒、髀傷、其行蹣跚、

具有能力、成其旨、聽其命之諸使歟、其頌美耶和華、為其役、行其旨之諸軍歟、其頌美耶和華、
