At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.

At one time we too acted like fools. We didn’t obey God. We were tricked. We were controlled by all kinds of desires and pleasures. We were full of evil. We wanted what belongs to others. People hated us, and we hated one another.

For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.

Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other.

For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by various passions and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.

Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be deceived: No sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, or anyone practicing homosexuality,no thieves, greedy people, drunkards, verbally abusive people, or swindlers will inherit God’s kingdom.And some of you used to be like this. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

and you once walked in these things when you were living in them.

But now, since you have been liberated from sin and have become enslaved to God, you have your fruit, which results in sanctification— and the end is eternal life!

But thank God that, although you used to be slaves of sin, you obeyed from the heart that pattern of teaching you were transferred to,

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the desires of your former ignorance.

Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, equip yourselves also with the same resolve— because the one who suffered in the flesh has finished with sin—in order to live the remaining time in the flesh, no longer for human desires, but for God’s will.For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the pagans choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry.

They are filled with all unrighteousness, evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, and malice. They are gossips,slanderers, God-haters, arrogant, proud, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, and unmerciful.

For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, without love for what is good,

Leave inexperience behind, and you will live; pursue the way of understanding.

He cried in a mighty voice: It has fallen, Babylon the Great has fallen! She has become a dwelling for demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, and a haunt for every unclean and despicable beast.

Your presumptuous heart has deceived you, you who live in clefts of the rock in your home on the heights, who say to yourself,“ Who can bring me down to the ground?”

He deceives those who live on the earth because of the signs that he is permitted to perform on behalf of the beast, telling those who live on the earth to make an image of the beast who had the sword wound and yet lived.

So the great dragon was thrown out— the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the one who deceives the whole world. He was thrown to earth, and his angels with him.

What then? Are we any better? Not at all! Learn to be shrewd, you who are inexperienced; develop common sense, you who are foolish.

Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord. He went to the high priestand requested letters from him to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any men or women who belonged to the Way, he might bring them as prisoners to Jerusalem.As he traveled and was nearing Damascus, a light from heaven suddenly flashed around him.Falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him,“ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”“ Who are You, Lord?” he said.“ I am Jesus, the One you are persecuting,” He replied.“ But get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
