to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone.

Tell them not to speak evil things against anyone. Remind them to live in peace. They must consider the needs of others. They must always be gentle toward everyone.

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all[ men].See that none render evil for evil unto any[ man]; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all[ men].

Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of[ his] brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

Honour all[ men]. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.Servants,[ be] subject to[ your] masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.

Even so[ must their] wives[ be] grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.

Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

Likewise also these[ filthy] dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

For though I be free from all[ men], yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow[ him].

A false witness[ that] speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord[ is] at hand.

But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:

Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence[ am] base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:

Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with[ them] to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of[ you]:

But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous[ are they], selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver[ him], yet thou must do it again.
