因此，我愿年轻的寡妇结婚，生儿育女，管理家务，不给敌人有辱骂的机会；

如果有人传别的教义，不接受我们的主耶稣基督纯正的话语，和那敬虔的道理，

如果有人不听从我们这封信上的训勉，要把这个人记下来，不可和他来往，好叫他自己觉得惭愧。

他说完了这些话，那些与他为敌的人都惭愧；群众却都因他所行一切荣耀的事欢喜。

耶稣见他回答得有智慧，就对他说：“你距离神的国不远了。”从此再也没有人敢问他了。

那经学家对耶稣说：“老师，是的，你说的很对，神是独一的，除了他以外再没有别的神。

有一个经学家，听到他们的辩论，觉得耶稣回答得好，就来问他：“诫命中哪一条是第一重要的呢？”

因耶和华的话而战兢的人哪！你们要听他的话。他说：“你们的兄弟，就是那些憎恨你们、因我的名赶走你们的，曾说：‘愿耶和华得荣耀；让我们看见你们的喜乐。’他们却要蒙羞。

耶稣说：“凯撒的应当归给凯撒，神的应当归给神。”他们就对他十分惊奇。
