嫻靜貞潔、躬操井臼、待人和藹、毋違夫子、庶幾天主聖教、不致為人詬病。

to be self- controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

The younger women must control themselves and be pure. They must take good care of their homes. They must be kind. They must follow the lead of their husbands. Then no one will be able to speak evil things against God’s word.

to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.

to be self-controlled, pure, homemakers, kind, and submissive to their husbands, so that God’s message will not be slandered.

孰得賢妻、價貴琅玕。其夫恃之、無所匱乏。雖至畢生、有益無損、得綿枲、樂擘績、譬彼艚舶、轉運食物、來自遠方、未及黎明、賢妻夙興、供僕之食、課婢之工、見良田則購之、出其贏餘、以築葡萄園、勁腰健臂、操作獲利、篝燈永夜、執篗紡績、賙濟貧乏、家人重衣、不畏雨雪、手製寢衣、自服赤綿。夫坐公庭、名著長老之中。婦作布售之於市、作紳售之於商賈、所製之服、華美縝密、不嘆無衣於後日。所言者明哲之詞、仁愛之語、勤家政、不素餐。夫善之、子德之、世之娶妻而賢者甚多、惟此婦為冠。其有丰采殊色者、盡屬於虛、不如寅畏耶和華者、必得讚美、所行結善果、在民間有令聞焉。

婦當服夫、乃宗主所宜、

有為善之稱、育子女、館遠人、濯聖徒足、濟受難、從諸善、則載之、

婦當順夫、如有夫不從教、見婦所為、雖無人勸勉、亦得歸道、蓋其察婦貞靜敬恪、婦所尚者、不在外飾、辮髮、金玦、文繡、勿加於身、乃謹內心、其神沖和恬靜、此飾不敝、上帝以之為貴、維昔淑女、上帝是賴、以此自飾、亦順其夫、

彼偷閒、遨遊鄰舍、不第偷閒、亦妄談滋事、言所不當言、幼嫠可再適、生子宜家、不使敵有間而訾我道、

爾曹宜各愛妻如己、婦當敬夫、

謂婦曰、我必使爾懷妊劬勞、產育維艱、爾必繫戀於夫、夫為爾綱。

夫既服役為奴、則務敬厥主、免上帝名與教見譏於人、

約帕有女徒、名大比大、譯即多加、廣行善事、博施於民、

我欲爾知基督為男綱、男為女綱、上帝為基督綱、

婦從主命、當順其夫、夫為婦綱、猶基督為會綱、救會全體、會服基督、婦凡事服夫、亦宜如是、

婦當淵默學道服法、不可授教、僭越夫綱、宜務恬靜、

終日嘻嗃、所懷忤逆、遨遊鄰里

爾之作為若此、使逆耶和華之人愈生厭惡、故爾所得之子必死。

三人曰、爾妻撒拉何在。曰、在幕。

上帝名、緣爾謗讟於異邦中、如經所云矣、

彼得起同往、及至、人引之登樓、眾嫠哭於彼得側、出多加生時所作衣服、與之觀、

上帝兮、維彼敵人、詆譭我儕、謗讟爾名、不識何時可息兮。

曰、撒勑婢夏甲、適從何來、茲欲何去。曰、避主母撒勑、曰、可歸主母、仍服其下。
