to be self- controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

The younger women must control themselves and be pure. They must take good care of their homes. They must be kind. They must follow the lead of their husbands. Then no one will be able to speak evil things against God’s word.

to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

well reported for good works: if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed every good work.

Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives,when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear.Do not let your adornment be merely outward— arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel—rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands,

And besides they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.Therefore I desire that the younger widows marry, bear children, manage the house, give no opportunity to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Let as many bondservants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and His doctrine may not be blasphemed.

At Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is translated Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did.

O God, how long will the adversary reproach? Will the enemy blaspheme Your name forever?

And He said,“ Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where have you come from, and where are you going?” She said,“ I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.”The Angel of the Lord said to her,“ Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hand.”

Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says.
