Older women likewise are to exhibit behavior fitting for those who are holy, not slandering, not slaves to excessive drinking, but teaching what is good.

又劝老年妇人，举止行动要恭敬，不说谗言，不给酒作奴仆，用善道教训人，

又要劝年长的妇女在操守上恭正，不说谗言，不作酒的奴隶，用善道教导人，

年長婦女、舉止亦宜溫恭有禮、毋道人短、或沉湎於酒、務須循循善誘、

Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.

In this way they will train the younger women to love their husbands, to love their children,

Likewise also their wives must be dignified, not slanderous, temperate, faithful in every respect.

Let your beauty not be external– the braiding of hair and wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes–but the inner person of the heart, the lasting beauty of a gentle and tranquil spirit, which is precious in God’s sight.For in the same way the holy women who hoped in God long ago adorned themselves by being subject to their husbands,

Likewise the women are to dress in suitable apparel, with modesty and self- control. Their adornment must not be with braided hair and gold or pearls or expensive clothing,but with good deeds, as is proper for women who profess reverence for God.

For the overseer must be blameless as one entrusted with God’s work, not arrogant, not prone to anger, not a drunkard, not violent, not greedy for gain.

Deacons likewise must be dignified, not two- faced, not given to excessive drinking, not greedy for gain,

so that you may welcome her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints and provide her with whatever help she may need from you, for she has been a great help to many, including me.

But the widow who is truly in need, and completely on her own, has set her hope on God and continues in her pleas and prayers night and day.But the one who lives for pleasure is dead even while she lives.Reinforce these commands, so that they will be beyond reproach.But if someone does not provide for his own, especially his own family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.No widow should be put on the list unless she is at least sixty years old, was the wife of one husband,and has a reputation for good works: as one who has raised children, practiced hospitality, washed the feet of the saints, helped those in distress– as one who has exhibited all kinds of good works.

For though you should in fact be teachers by this time, you need someone to teach you the beginning elements of God’s utterances. You have gone back to needing milk, not solid food.

But I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and by her teaching deceives my servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols.

But among you there must not be either sexual immorality, impurity of any kind, or greed, as these are not fitting for the saints.
